General Mills is seeking a Sr. Global Consumer Insights Associate to advance and modernize communications research globally by developing thought leadership, scaling new capabilities, and supporting the adoption of research best practices through on-demand consultations, trainings, and other methods.

  • Be the driving force for the Communications Council a group of Comms experts dedicated to advancing how we do research for inspiring communications

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the GCI Communications Council, including coordinating Council meetings, driving agendas, and supporting vendor RFIs

  • Support the GCI community via proactive and on-demand consultations on their comms-related business questions & learning plans

  • Partner with Council members and L&D to globally scale new leading-edge capabilities and expand Comms thought leadership, including trainings for GCI and other functions as needed

  • Advance and modernize Comms research globally

  • Identify and roll out best practices globally on how to conduct System-1 friendly research to inspire great brand foundations and communications.

  • Increase the impact of newly developed Comms methodologies by creating new resources, tools, and processes.Roll out Brand Relevance philosophy and methods globally to GCI and other marketing functions through training and other reinforcement

  • Synthesize macro learnings and scale Brand Equity tools, processes & resources.

  • Drive & scale Brand Equity Measurement for key GMI global brands.

  • Roll-out Brand Equity Measurement Framework globally

  • Inspire application of new methods via bimonthly email highlighting curated, provocative comms topics

Minimum:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 3-5 years of experience in Consumer Insights, strong understanding of System 1 thinking and primary (qualitative and quantitative) research methodologies and tools

  • Strong Collaboration, Relationship-Building and Influencing Skills

  • Curious and Experimental Mindset

  • Strong story-telling skills, both Verbal & Written

Preffered:

  • MBA/Masters in GCI-related areas OR 5+ years of relevant external experience in advertising, public relations, experiential marketing, or other communications-related field

  • Training Design & Development experience
