IMMI is seeking an enthusiastic Global Commodity Specialist, with 3 - 5 years of purchasing experience, eager to grow in their supply chain career. In this dynamic role, the Global Commodity Specialist will evaluate and cultivate relationships with IMMI's material suppliers to procure products that are safe for IMMI's internal manufacturing, of exceptional quality, and delivered on time every time. Global Commodity Specialists should have keen analysis and highly developed excel skills to drive data to investigate new opportunities through improved supply chain or supplier relationships. This position reports to the Global Commodity Manager and will work collaboratively on new product development with internal team members in Quality, Engineering, and Sales to maximize the company's goals while minimizing internal conflicts. In this crucial role, the Global Commodity Specialist's work allows IMMI to provide excellent top-tier products to customers.

LOCATION: Onsite- Westfield, IN
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Evaluate and cultivate relationships with IMMI's material suppliers
Ensure supplier on time delivery, quality, and PPAP approval metrics
Report on supplier performance in quality and delivery, costing, and the effects of market changes to guarantee IMMI is using the best total cost supply partners in the marketplace
Investigate new opportunities through an improved supply chain or new suppliers
Collaborate with the quality, engineering, finance, and sales/marketing departments to maximize the company's goals while minimizing internal conflicts
Support Commodity Managers with:
New Product Introduction Projects and RFQs
Supply base adhering to quality and delivery requirements to maximize production up-time
Purchasing database building
Data analysis
QUALIFICATIONS:
3-5 years of purchasing or supply chain experience
Bachelor's degree with emphasis in Purchasing, Engineering, Operations, or related field
Highly developed Excel skills
Cross functional team work
Negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills
Data analysis skills with demonstrated results
Experience with ERP systems (IMMI uses Oracle ERP and Supplier Portal)
Experience with a high mix / low volume commodity management of safety critical components
