The Product Owner will represent the GCDO organization as part of the Internal Data Product Team, playing a critical role in driving the product vision and prioritisation of work within the delivery pods. This team member will have overall accountability for defining features, working with the product and delivery teams to plan, sequence, and decompose work, ensuring sprint priorities/outcomes meet business requirements, managing stakeholder expectations, and escalating risks/issues/roadblocks.

The Internal Data Product Management Team is responsible for managing the intake, requirements, and prioritisation of use cases based on demand across global internal stakeholder groups. Our core product offering is to provide stakeholders with access to internal data sets in the form of reusable insight services that are easily accessible, robust, intuitive, secured, and governed.

The Internal Data Product Owner will serve as the primary liaison between PwC stakeholders and functional/technical teams, and have ultimate accountability for ensuring sprint priorities/outcomes deliver against documented business requirements in alignment with the overall product vision.

Key success factors for this role include the ability to independently work with and manage expectations of senior-level stakeholders, plan/sequence features and dependencies to deliver incremental value in collaboration with the product, architecture, and engineering teams, ensure features and user stories accurately reflect requirements, and provide quality assurance over the delivery pods to ensure adherence to definition of ready and definition of done criteria.

As such, the applicant should demonstrate extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success as a team leader in the following areas:

  • Owning, prioritizing, communicating, and refining the internal data product backlog, working with the Product Management team to maintain alignment with the product vision and roadmap;

  • Evangelizing the product vision, design principles, and best practices to the technical teams and stakeholders;

  • Coordinating with the Scrum Master and Tech Lead on priorities, approach, and delivery, while ensuring cross-pod alignment and standards are being followed to maximize reusability of insight services across capabilities;

  • Aligning product solutioning to effectively address the insight services strategy, roadmap, and best practices with the prioritisation of work in each program increment and sprint;

  • Maximizing the value produced by the team and ensure deliverables meet the business stakeholders needs and comply with the Acceptance Criteria and the Definition of Done;

  • Coordinating with business stakeholders to implement outcomes aligned to our core product offering, ensuring success criteria has been agreed upon with stakeholders and effectively communicated to the development and testing teams;

  • Applying analytical skills to determine accurate business requirements and present these requirements in a manner that is concise, measurable, and flexible enough to meet stakeholder needs;

  • Defining and managing epics, features, and user stories to be completed by the internal data engineering pods in alignment with the product management vision;

  • Understanding the business implications of the application of data within the current business environment, and assist the Product Management Team in the prioritisation of activities to maximize value based on stakeholder needs and core capabilities;

  • Leading planning and prioritisation activities with stakeholders and internal teams to develop and agree on requirements, program increments, sprint objectives, and release schedules;

  • Understanding of Agile development principles and experience working on an Agile team (e.g., Scrum, SAFe) with an onshore/offshore delivery model;

  • Demonstrating previous experience and exposure to data-driven product implementation, specifically data engineering, data warehousing and virtualization, and reporting/analytics solutions; and,

  • Working knowledge with respect to SQL query development and debugging, data modeling concepts, understanding of ETL techniques and technologies, and software development and testing methodologies.

Deposit and Credit Bureau Management Office (DCBMO) This newly created entity is responsible for the governance/oversight, standardized enterprise policy, centralized relationship management, consistent enterprise processes and procedures, integrated network of systems, quality control and customer experience related to all aspects of how Wells Fargo furnishes and uses consumer data to/from the Consumer Reporting Agencies. The DCBMO is responsible/accountable for the following functions; Furnishings, Disputes, Data Usage and Access, Vendor Relationship Engagement, Remediation, Strategy and Integration, Business Controls, Data, Analytics, Insights & Forecasting and finally, Self-Assurance and Oversight. The Role The DCBMO is currently seeking an experienced individual to serve in a Product Owner role to develop the product vision and lead execution of a target state roadmap for our FCRA Data Usage/Consumption pillar. As a new capability, this individual will work closely with the Consumption business leader to define product vision, technology needs and lead our agile transformation alignment for target state capabilities. A successful candidate must have strong knowledge and experience with use of consumer reporting data in new account underwriting and existing account review purposes. Additionally, the candidate must have strong knowledge of data management practices as well as knowledge of the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Define comprehensive product vision for overall consumption target state capabilities. Align product vision with consumption and DCBMO leadership. * In conjunction with Consumption leadership, ensure product vision alignment for deposit furnishing target state capabilities that align to overall strategic and architectural approach. * Articulates product vision, definition, goals, and direction for teams to design/develop/deliver technology and processes with all stakeholders in order to accomplish successful target state delivery. * Serves as Application Business Owner for newly developed applications/platforms, including ensuring compliance with all information security guidelines. * Develop process mapping and feature alignment to help define 'to-be' technology and process needs and roadmap planning view. * Participates in data mapping processes with various data consumption owners to understand processes, applications and data stores utilizing FCRA governed data. * Define long term roadmap strategy including technology resource and funding support needs as well as ongoing support of legacy platforms. * Develop migration plan to target state platform in conjunction with technology and other business leadership. * Develops/monitors key performance indicators, identifies improvement opportunities, and ensures all regulatory and policy compliance is addressed in features/stories and ongoing sprint planning. * In conjunction with Business Analyst, technology scrum partners and subject matter experts, gather, document, define and manage feature requests to build a comprehensive backlog. * Lead the prioritization and refinement of backlog to align to roadmap strategy. Adjusts planning in situations that may include financial, control, or process roadblocks. * Inspects pre-release progress, recommends changes, and ensures timelines are met while coordinating go/no-go reviews as needed. * Ensures cross-functional dependencies, including technology, are articulated, managed, and addressed by all constituents, including coordination through separate in-take and prioritization/PI planning processes. * Participating in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and sprint review meetings. * Works with relevant stakeholders to ensure advanced communication and any associated activities (e.g., staff training, procedural updates) are completed and aligned to sprint schedules. * Works closely with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) lead and Business Analyst to draft user acceptance testing plans and scripts.
