The Alliances team is one of the fastest growing sales groups at Sovos. In two and a half years the team has grown from accounting for just under 5% of our sales bookings to almost 25% - and that number is only going up! It is a team that is unique in its' strategic nature. This team focuses on building strategic partnerships within the largest advisory consulting organizations in the world. This isn't about hitting a quota or how many phone calls you can make in a day this is about understanding the big picture and making the strategic moves to get there. This team is all about forming alliances and partnerships all while solving our partners pain points and make both sides money in the process!

The Work You'll Do

As one of two senior members of our Global Alliances Sales team you will be tasked with forming relationships with and managing our advisory partners who are the biggest advisory consulting firms in the world. Success will look like partnerships that result in these consulting firms bringing our products and services into their large scale projects. It will look like their managed services teams using our tax software. It will look like you making our clients look like geniuses as you offer solutions to solve their biggest pain points. This not your typical direct sales opportunity this is a true opportunity to become embedded in our partner solutions on a global scale as one of two members driving the future of sales at Sovos.

More specifically you will:

  • Deliver new revenues and meet agreed bookings quotas by selling with and through strategic partners

  • Develop and execute a detailed territory plan to maximize partner-driven sales opportunities

  • Grow and manage a quality pipeline of new strategic partners

  • Nurture and improve working relationships with and business contributions from the existing/assigned partners

  • Based on primary & secondary market research data, build and/or refine strategies for expanding market reach and accelerating market penetration through Alliances

  • Actively engage with existing & new partners to enhance awareness about Sovos' global Tax Compliance and Business-to-Government Reporting solutions

  • Build strong relationships and robust cadence with partners' direct & indirect sales channels to identify new market/client opportunities

  • Conduct quarterly business reviews with strategic partners to drive consistent productivity against agreed KPIs

  • Educate and mobilize internal business partners to support key Alliance Sales objectives

  • Model the way for all other Global Alliance Sales team members by demonstrating unmatched initiative, drive and determination to achieve results, success and growth

What We Need From You

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education & experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sales, channel sales, channel marketing or business development

  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales goals

  • Experience selling SaaS solution preferred

  • Successful track record of selling to large enterprises, managing complex sales cycles and interacting with senior executives

  • Self-motivated team player who has a strong drive to exceed goals

  • Willingness to travel up to 50% for partner meetings, trade shows and special projects

Role & Responsibilities * This role is focused on the broad-market, with a particular emphasis on leveraging our disti channel partners global reach, to effectively increase our precision signal chain market share. * Define and implement a consolidated "low-touch" channel Go to Market strategy aligned to regional dynamics, regional channel partner focus and revenue growth potential * In collaboration with technology groups, and with an understanding of the underlying investment strategies and market trends, develop and drive execution of a consolidated broad-market channel plan to increase share position, enhance ADI technology and solution brand awareness to grow revenue faster in the channel than the overall market. * Become proficient in understanding the unique IPTTG value proposition to ensure it is consistently articulated externally through the extended Sales and Channel organizations. Increase product knowledge across all IPTTG strategies. Partner with the IPTTG marketing team's to understand key markets segments, strategies, applications and products. * Ensure IPTTG is maximizing all available resources (direct and indirect) to develop and promote signal chain solutions to generate incremental IPTTG revenue * Assume the responsibility for the identification and engagement with Go-to-Market Channels to increase IPTTG focus. Develop strong working relationships across the full ADI Eco-System and customer base to increase IPTTG focus and market share in the Broad-Market * As the IPT channel go to person for the sales and marketing channel team, ensure IPT broad market priorities are supported through various channel initiatives. * Participate in the definition of the IPTTG marketing collateral to ensure consistency in the messaging across all strategies, all material and communications are generated from the perspective of the customer, align with outbound go to market initiatives to form part of mutually agreed targeted campaigns * Become proficient in understanding the unique IPTTG value proposition to ensure it is consistently articulated externally through the extended Sales organization. Increase product knowledge across all IPTTG strategies. Partner with the IPTTG marketing team's to understand key markets segments, strategies, applications and products. * Drive and track targeted opportunities with the Broad-Market and Distribution partner regional sales teams * Build a high performance cross functional virtual team that leads IPTTG product promotion in the Channel.
