As a Global Cash Senior Accountant, you will be part of the Global Cash Accounting team and partner with broader accounting operations in Global Shared Services to solve daily, complex issues. In this position, you will obtain hands-on experience with bank and financial reconciliations, process improvements and risk mitigation. In this role, you will

  • Execute all corporate accounting close activities for assigned functional areas. Prepare monthly general ledger account reconciliations and post journal entries. Review team's work for accuracy and compliance.

  • Responsible for processes around analysis of domestic and international business operations and obligations to ensure accurate recording of financial position. Assist in the preparation and communication of monthly financial results to management.

  • Identify issues independently. Lead efforts to research issues, develop recommendations, resolve complex issues, and implement changes.

  • Design, recommend, and implement internal control procedures that ensure proper recording and reporting of financial position and prevent significant errors in accounting records.

  • Prepare and produce monthly reports and returns required by the senior management and regulators. Support external auditors during annual audit.

  • Coach and provide training to temporary administrators to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks.

  • Participate in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

How you'll spend your days

  • Identify issues independently and act as a point person on the team. Work with internal business contacts to research issues, develop recommendations, and resolve routine issues.

  • Reconcile domestic and international cash accounts utilizing both manual and automated processes

  • Identify risk and assist in updating internal control procedures that ensure proper recording and reporting of financial position and prevent significant errors in accounting records.

  • Build and develop strong working relationships both locally and globally to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes.

  • Work with external auditors during the annual financial statement audit. Analyze and prepare documents/information with the auditors. Answer all auditor inquiries.

What it takes

  • Minimum of three years related business experience. Financial accounting experience preferred.

  • CPA preferred.

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Finance or Accounting degree preferred.

  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external partners

  • Experience in an accounting and financial reporting environment preferred.

  • Conceptual understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Accounting Standards (IAS) preferred.

  • Working knowledge of financial and operational controls.
