The Global Business Unit Director, Equipment is a senior leadership role. Dymax senior leaders articulate vision, innovate passionately, formulate strategies, consistently deliver on key metrics, and model core values. Our senior leaders have deep insight into their disciplines and have a full comprehension of business and market forces. They lead by example, providing focus and direction to Dymaxs continuing profitability and growth, and purposefully steer the workforce in a dynamic, determined, fun and inclusive work culture.

We seek a results-focused, innovative, customer-centric well-qualified individual to join our talented team. Based out of our Torrington Connecticut location, you will be expected to create strategic global growth and developmental opportunities for Dymax equipment by leading and empowering global high-performing teams in Engineering, Engineering R&D, Product Management and Systems Integration. You will manage VOC/markets, new product introduction, and product lifecycles. In addition, you will:

  • Develop go-to-market strategies, target accounts, and value propositions by managing global products, services, and brands, and by developing market subsegment strategies
  • Execute strategic planning, including meeting key deliverables, milestones and timelines by developing and managing a metrics-based reporting system
  • Develop joint business strategies that meet or exceed Dymax global sales growth targets by active partnership with Business Development, Sales, Operations, Marketing and regional leadership
  • Ensure achievement of key customer specifications by championing new product development, trials, quality assessments, and commercialization opportunities
  • Develop innovative, customer-advocating, high-performing business management teams by developing, coaching, and mentoring personnel to deliver innovative, quality-focused on-time results
  • Enable faster development, enhanced product performance, and reduced time-to-market by cultivating dynamic relationships, alliances, partnerships, and other cooperative ventures

Requirements

You should have:

  • BA/BS in Engineering or Business, advanced degree or MBA preferred
  • 7+ years managing engineers and projects in disciplines such as systems, mechanical, optics, electrical, and software engineering
  • Durable goods manufacturing experience a big plus
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills; strong analytical and financial acumen
  • Value-based solution selling, business judgment, negotiation and decision-making skills
  • Ability to effectively lead and motivate diverse employee groups to optimal results
  • Experience working with remote cross-functional teams in large matrixed organizations
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills; strong analytical and financial acumen
  • The willingness and capacity to travel regionally and globally to customers, Dymax operating entities, trade shows, and professional conferences. Expected travel approximately 30-40%
