This role applies advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert. Frequently contributes to the development of new ideas and methods. Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. Leads and/or provides expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives. Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies. Frequently represents the organization to external customers/clients. Exercises significant independent judgment within broadly defined policies and practices to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives. May provide mentoring and guidance to lower level employees.
Provides independent analysis for complex, important cases and issues; effectively manages any follows up or escalations; may participate in interviews to further investigative results.
Contributes to efforts to plan and design significant security process improvements.
Focus on more complex and important issues and acts with greater autonomy, compared to lower levels. May lead projects of moderate to high complexity.
Assists with regional investigations impacting people, products, IP, the company brand and operations.
Analyzes the company transactional data; manages physical and documentary evidence.
Develops content and materials from analytics and investigative learnings to facilitate training new process/platform rollouts and audits.
Delivers investigative reports incorporating all analysis findings and evidence
Liaises with HR, business clients and other control functions in delivery, communication and resolution of analytical or investigation findings.
Education and Experience
First-level university degree in Criminal Justice, Security, Law Enforcement or a related field of study, or equivalent experience.
Typically 6-10 years security experience, including a mix of law enforcement, military, intelligence and/or corporate experience.
Experience in multiple security disciplines (e.g., operations, executive protection, systems, etc).
Global security experience and accreditations and multiple language proficiency are desirable.

Knowledge and Skills
Recognized authority in security theories, techniques and technologies for one or more security disciplines, along with broad general security knowledge. Investigative roles: Broad experience conducting complex regional field investigations
Advanced data analytic skills
Experience with enterprise level internal systems and processes ex. Warranty systems, multiple data sources, shipment ordering systems and detailed internal processes
SQL development skills are a plus
Sound, ethical judgment required.
Developed leadership skills, including coaching, mentoring and teaching.
Superior ability to use security systems and applications.
Advanced analytical skills. Ability to identify complex security issues and customize, implement/execute innovative processes and solutions.
Thorough knowledge of criminal and civil procedure as it relates to evidence, privacy, interviewing, breach of contract, fraud, supply chain and intellectual property protection.
Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure in complex situations.
Advanced interpersonal and communications skills, including presentation, reporting and consulting. Proven "customer service" and relationship management skills.
Advanced project management skills, including planning, execution, and implementation.
Developed business and financial acumen.
Established range of professional contacts. Familiar with the range of professional security literature.
Practical knowledge of the current security environment in local geography.
