Amphenol High Speed Products Group is the market leader for high speed, highbandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom market (Mobile Networks,Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). Our products help to enable theelectronics revolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEMsglobally. We have design, sales, and manufacturing locations globally and arecurrently seeking a Global Account Manager to join our West Coast Sales teamlocated in Santa Clara, CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Our customer's ultimate success depends on our ability to solve cutting edgeproblems in relation to high bandwidth signal transmission. We value ourrelationships with these companies, and we depend on our Sales and FieldApplications Engineering Teams to foster this ongoing partnership.

As a Global Account Manager, you interface with our external customers andinternal product development, product marketing and application teams. Sell andpromote all Amphenol products within defined accounts, either through originalequipment manufacturers (OEM customers) and/or distributors, via successfuldesign win (AVL) activities and total channel management. Help devise strategiesto differentiate our products and solutions from our competitors. Broadencustomer base and increase penetration at key global accounts.

Provide sales leadership for a large Global Account Customers, and workclosely with Field Applications Engineer and Business UnitsPromote and sell Amphenol products with established customers and developingnew prospects.Identify all interconnect opportunities/applications of Amphenol productsfor clients and work with the customers engineering team to design in newproductsDevelop and implement sales plan and growth strategy for customersProvide forecasts for Amphenol products broken down by customerMeet and exceed strategic objectives and established sales quota via newdesign wins and management of the entire sales channelMotivate existing and potential customers within a global account toincrease product content on the designSupport technical aspects of the sales cycle including marketing support forthe development and implementation of Amphenol productsProvide customer service to solve complex interconnect problems andtechnical inquiriesTrack orders and revenue by customerBuild rapport and provide customer support by supplying information relatedto samples, delivery dates, part drawings and specifications, quality issues,credit issues, etc.Develop a thorough understanding of the market and competition in youraccountsKeep informed of new products and other general information of interest tocustomers.Travel required

QUALIFICATIONS:

BS Business/Marketing with a technical background or BS Engineering with aBusiness/Marketing aptitudeKnowledge and understanding of interconnect solutions industry preferredField sales and applications experience on global account level customerwith interconnect, passive, electromechanical componentsKnowledge of international business practices a plus

SKILLS:

Sales skills to successfully negotiate a technical design win, approvedvendor status, contracts, and customer partnership.Technically astute with an ability to acquire extensive product andapplication knowledge, with an ability to assess, and provide solutions for,customer design challenges/needsSelf-motivated and driven to identify, qualify and pursue new customers andnew marketsAbility to effectively communicate across the engineering and managerialfunctions of a businessStrong oral and written communications to provide high level customerservice and build relationshipsOrganizational skills to anticipate, prioritize, plan, organize to meet andexceed strategic objectivesLeadership skills to assess and drive new opportunities in a global accountenvironmentKnowledge of modeling tools Pro E or SolidworksProficiency with Microsoft Office products

The base salary range for this position is $91,800 - $174,240 USD annually. Indetermining rate of pay, Amphenol considers a variety of nondiscriminatoryfactors, including but not limited to geographic location, relevant industryexperience, qualifications, skills, and education. It would be rare for anindividual to be hired at or near the top of the range for a given role. Basesalary is one facet of Amphenol's total rewards package which includesparticipation in our comprehensive benefits program with medical, dental, andvision benefits effective day 1, vacation, sick leave, personal days, paidholidays, life insurance, short/long term disability, and matching 401K. OurGlobal Account Managers are also eligible to participate in an annual incentivebonus program and provided with a company vehicle.
