Verizon Media Platform is looking to hire a senior sales and account leader with strong experience leading client relationships and growing revenue. The Global Account Director will play a key role in leading the Account Management team as they scale and grow their existing accounts. The Global Account Director will lead the account management function for customers across all product lines.


  • Oversee the client relationship function for all customers globally and organize the processes around account management.

  • Lead Account Management team to achieve and exceed annual growth quota

  • Diligently execute, monitor and refine reporting to represent account progress, opportunities, and adoption

  • As a senior leader for the company, the Director will interface with C-level executives, both internally and externally

  • Engage in external industry groups and associations and speaking opportunities

  • Lead individual and group performance by managing key metrics

  • Motivate account group through strategy, recognition, morale, and incentive systems

  • Travel, when necessary, to oversee account relationships globally

  • Negotiate terms with customers

  • Manage client relationships for designated accounts

  • Mitigate account attrition by proactively identifying at-risk accounts and develop a turnaround strategy


  • 10+ years professional Sales and Account Management experience. Ideally, in video, broadcast or SaaS business environment.

  • Technically competent in SaaS business models

  • Confident in ability manage, set and achieve revenue goals

  • Able to provide tangible examples of revenue derived from up-selling current client base

  • Demonstrated success of working with Enterprise Customers and growing business

  • Ability to establish relationships with C-level decision-makers of major accounts

  • Excellent leadership skills with the confidence and maturity to have instant credibility at all levels of an organization

  • Experienced in complex negotiation processes

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience managing multiple accounts within Symphony's business model

  • Strong motivation and flexibility needed to function in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong command of pipeline and management reporting to effectively drive revenue realization

Team description - The FTSE Russell Global Strategic Account Management team is responsible for working with FTSE Russell's largest fund manager, ETF provider, investment banking and custody bank clients globally to cover all index, data and analytics provided by FTSE Russell as the basis for creating ETFs, index funds and structured products, as reference benchmarks for active funds or portfolios, and for trading strategies, risk management research, analysis and marketing. Role description – Reporting to the Head of Global Strategic Account Management, FTSE Russell, the role requires direct management of FTSE Russell's global relationship with several of the largest financial institutions globally. Responsibilities include leading revenue generation, product adoption and education, as well as growth against KPI's through working closely with the designated clients through providing key consultative solutions and focused relationships at all levels. Key Responsibilities * Achievement of personal new business targets on a quarterly basis, and Management Business Objectives identified for sustained growth of our index and analytics business. * Coordinating regional and junior team members covering the designated accounts, the role requires leadership of account structure and senior customer relationships, new business sales and supportive sales operation functions and strategies. * Development and implementation of strategic growth plans for the designated clients to increase client and market penetration, ensuring effective implementation across all global regions. * Delivery of revenue synergy goals through sales growth, cross selling and commercial policy developments. * Close collaboration with other teams including Asset Owner & Consultant Sales, ETF specialists, Wealth Management, Research, ESG, and YieldBook Analytics to ensure coordination of client management and opportunities. * Accurate forecasting and planning of sales strategies. * Detailed recording of all client activity for CRM in SalesForce. * Support product and market campaigns as they relate to the designated accounts. Enhancing our ability to prioritise and focus our sales efforts. * Ensure existing client relationships are leveraged to broaden global footprint. * Work closely with central product and marketing teams to ensure market intelligence, competitor analysis and market trends / conditions are gathered and monitored. * Identify other business sector opportunities. * Work with management to facilitate planning, reporting, analysis and strategy development. * Partner with clients to launch new funds and ETFs and support them gathering assets from institutional and retail investors. * Negotiate and close major multi-million dollar deals with several of the largest global fund managers and banks. * Managing the relationship with several of FTSE Russell's largest clients globally – driving activity, delivering results, managing change, meeting new business targets and providing regular reporting and updates to senior management.
