Global Account Director

  • Bring strong sales leadership and be part of the senior sales team tasked with growing key accounts for global industry icons.

  • Work with the functional teams (marketing, technical, and support functions) on a regular basis to resolve operational and business issues which may include: price negotiation, contract negotiation, forecast, and PO management.

  • Provide executive sales leadership through development and execution of key account sales strategies and direct customer interaction.

  • Drive the sales process throughout the sales cycle, involving subject matter experts where necessary, to ensure Knowles has the best chance of winning every desired opportunity.

  • Construct and achieve sales and financial forecasts on a quarterly and annual basis.

  • Identify trends that shape the customers' needs that lead to new opportunities.

  • Conduct sales analysis: prepare reports and make presentations to staff, corporate officials, customers and others as required to communicate and facilitate the interests of the company.

  • Attend trade shows and similar activities to understand emerging trends.

  • Manage the sales and pipeline management process.

  • Work with Asia counterparts to support the customers' Asia activities like demand generation, quality support, and Customer/CM/Distributor relationships. Revenue execution in Asia will be a key attribute of this role.

Requirements

Sales Execution

10+ years of experience in sales and sales management for highly technical semiconductor or hardware products, with a complex design-in process involving a broad range of stakeholders within customers' organizations.

  • Ability to identify, implement, and manage partnerships with key players within the ecosystem, including resellers and development partners.

  • Ability to "roll-up" his / her sleeves and get into the details as needed.

  • Passion for sales and technology.

  • Critical thinker, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to articulate and advocate business value propositions for new markets and products.

  • Strong executive presence and strong presentation skills and excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Participative, team-oriented management style.

Domain Experience

  • Experience selling and marketing semiconductor products to OEMs particularly in the consumer electronics, storage, hardware, and/or mobile computing markets.

  • Knowledge of the technical and business environments the customer engages in.

  • Must be able to understand technical issues and communicate effectively with the customer, and company's engineering organizations.

Leadership Skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively across cultures, geography, and time zones, and with a broad set of internal partners including marketing and R&D.

  • Ability to represent the company effectively with customers and partners across the whole range of stakeholders from engineers to executive management.

  • Team player and self-starter; data-driven but able to take initiatives and make decisions in presence of incomplete data.

  • Hands-on; must be able to know/get involved in the details while keeping the overall picture in sight.

  • High ethical standards.

Education

Strong academic record from an undergraduate institution, with a degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical or Computer) preferred; MBA preferred.
