GL Accountant

We serve clients ranging from real estate developers, governments, and food and beverage and industrial manufacturers.We are looking for a focused, smart, and industrious GL Accountant to join our growing team. As a GL Accountant, you will provide vital support to the Accounting Manager to help streamline the company's financial processes. You will receive a competitive compensation and benefits package and the chance to work with passionate, like-minded people.Duties and Responsibilities * Enter financial transactions into the ledger * Maintain ledger, record, and document company financial transactions. * Update vendor information. * Collaborate with various departments to gather necessary data to complete accurate records and provide accounting support. * Participate in accurate and timely month-end close preparation, extraction of data for upload to ledger, journal entries, review, and analysis. * Review data to ensure that proper procedures are being followed and assist in the development of additional standard accounting procedures. * Utilize database management systems to maintain up-to-date record keeping of financial documents.Requirements and Qualifications * Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in accounting, business, finance, math, or a related field or equivalent experience.* 3 years general accounting experience required * Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel * Familiarity with accounting software and tax preparation software such as Intuit QuickBooks. Sage300 Accounting, NetSuite preferred. * Manufacturing and construction experience preferred. * Exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality with regard to company accounts. * Able to complete work to deadlines with little direct supervision. * Driven, self-motivated, and goal-oriented * Strong critical thinking and mathematical reasoning skillsWork Location: Our preference is for the Accountant to be in office or Hybrid (2-3 days per week).
