The list established by this recruitment may be used to fill future extra help vacancies for up to one year.
Extra help assignments are non-benefited and may work up to 1,000 hours per fiscal year.
It is expected for this position to work approximately 20 hours per week.
Under general supervision, the GIS Technician prepares, revises, and maintains a variety of geospatial data, maps and mapping related records, documents, and reports used with the County's Geographic Information Systems (GIS). The incumbent utilizes GIS to create, revise, manipulate, and maintain geospatial data in a local desktop environment as well as on an enterprise level; produces visual aids and graphics for presentation; and uses GIS to perform spatial analysis as required.
Performs related work as assigned.
