Support customer GI&S Program Management for intelligence units and help coordinate between Headquarters Air Force (HAF) and multiple elements of the customer's staff.
Plan and implement the US Air Force's Geospatial Product Library (GPL) initiative and the customer's 4 Dimensional-Visualization (4D-V) initiative which currently uses GE architecture; but is exploring new 4D-V options.
Make recommendations on the development of integration and migration plans for the customer's GPL program. Plan installation of GPL servers and/or GI&S capability at CONUS Active Duty/Guard/Reserve locations; which will require the contractor to travel .
This includes coordination with unit level intelligence and communications personnel at each location to facilitate preparation for the GPL installation.
Develop/provide Pre-Installation/Installation/Troubleshooting checklist in order to facilitate installation; maintenance and troubleshooting of GPL servers at units. Provide checklist and updates as required by changes or as requested by the customer.
Disseminate the government prepared Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for GPL support with each organization before installing the GPL. Consolidate MOA change requests from all parties for customer review.
Provide feedback on this coordination effort along with GPL status at each current and proposed installation location.
Support Geospatial Intelligence initiatives including GE Enterprise Servers (GEES).
Create and maintain GEES Globes or similar globe architecture; one each on AF Network Operations (AFNETOPS) NIPRNet and SIPRNet domains.
Develop and document the process to create portable GE globes for use by customer units during standalone operations.
Maintain the capability to create new user defined portable globes within a timeline as determined by the customer; normally within 48 hours of receiving globe specifications.
Globe specifications will be developed jointly with and approved by customer personnel.
Provide documentation on the portable GE globe request and cutting process 90 days after task order award and updates due within 10 working days after an updated requirement is identified.
Train customer personnel on the portable globe cutting process.
Manage GEOINT data overlays; i.e. KML/KMZs; threat assessments and force protection information. Geospatially reference and maintain this data on SIPRNet shared drives for access by HQ and unit personnel.
Develop a variety of documents in support of the customer's GI&S program. Examples include inputs to GI&S Air Force Instructions (AFIs); certification and accreditation documents; requirements documentation and bullet background papers on the GPL and 4D-V programs.
Provide update briefings and in-progress review documentation to senior leadership when requested.
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.
2-5 years of related systems engineering experience.
Contract requires experience with GE Globe creation and maintenance; LINUX and Red Hat programming languages and server administration tasks.
Shall have a minimum of Information Assurance Technical (IAT) level II Department of Defense (DoD) 8570.01-M certification (i.e. CompTIA Security+).
