AECOM is seeking an experienced GIS Specialist to work as an on-site contractor at a client site to provide esri ArcGIS Portal development services. This position is based at Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) New River, NC. The GIS Specialist will configure, deploy, and maintain ArcGIS Portal content and web-enabled tools to support the analysis/visualization of enterprise, business system, or external data elements in support of The United States Marine Corps GEOFidelis Program's mission objectives.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to
Serves as the technical lead supporting the creation and visualization of data layers and map products using ArcGIS Portal
Manage web-based geospatial content/apps/systems and maintain a digital GIS Program Binder detailing the processes and actions involved in completing assigned duties
Plans, schedules, conducts or coordinates detailed work. Independently responds to technical/administrative instructions on results expected
Provide consultation for ArcGIS Portal strategic planning and resolution of issues, technical assistance and training and liaison support with installation/regional IGI&S Manager or other functional communities
Meets with subject matter experts to discuss topics, such as technical specifications, customized solutions and operational problems.
Defines optimum workflows for ArcGIS Portal, and designs, implements, and tests configuration changes
Review technical requirements to meet MCAS New River objectives and perform quality assurance on ArcGIS Portal content/services
Develops new approaches to problems and coordinates technical specifications, customized solutions and operational problems

BA/BS in geography, planning, engineering, computer science, or a related technical field with an emphasis in geographic information systems (GIS) + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Due to the nature of this work, US Citizenship is required based on the need to obtain a secret clearance
Valid driver's license
4 years of ArcGIS desktop GIS experience
2 years of ArcGIS Portal experience
Have the ability to work with a team of professionals
Excellent time management skills
Will be required to work independently and communicate directly with customers from environmental, energy and other business areas
