We have a challenging part-time opportunity for a qualified individual proficient in GIS / ArcMap, interested in working independently, and willing to assist with field projects. This position can be based in any of our Pacific Northwest or Montana offices.
This position is a combination of indoor office work including figure generation using ArcMap, GIS database management, report development assistance, and database analysis; along with some outdoor field work. If you are technically strong, comfortable with a fast pace, and have a client-service perspective, you will thrive here. This is a part-time as-needed hourly position.
Hours will vary significantly throughout the year. Position is non-benefitted.
What you'll do: You will work in the environmental industry on a variety of projects and tasks, including environmental emergency response planning, drilling and sampling, inputting/interpreting analytical laboratory results, report preparation, database management, and related field and office activities.
The major job focus of this opportunity is preparing detailed comprehensive figures using GIS to support our environmental deliverables. Occasional field support may also be necessary.
Depending upon client requirements, this position may be subject to drug testing before starting work at the client's work site and randomly thereafter.
What you'll need:
GIS Certificate or equivalent training and/or experience
Skilled with the ArcGIS online/mobile app
Excellent communication skills--both written and verbal
Ability to work with large groups on team efforts, as well as independently
CAD experience, field experience, and 40 hour HAZWOPER training preferred
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
