Position Summary:

The IT Senior Manager of Financial & Accounting Systems will report to the Sr. Director for Quality, Engineering, Operations and G&A. This key position will lead a team responsible for developing, implementing, and supporting Illumina's Financial, Accounting and Legal systems, including working with the Finance and Accounting organizations to create and manage the Finance IT budget and Financial/Legal System Project Roadmap. The position will also be responsible for the Financial and Legal Systems Architecture and work closely with other applications teams to help make key architectural and software development decisions to ensure strong and efficient financial processes throughout Illumina systems. The position will also help develop and support the Finance and Accounting reporting & Analytics platform.

This role requires a solid understanding and experience with modern Financial and Accounting systems, a proven track record of project delivery, creation of high performance teams, and the ability to work in a matrixed environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Service Operations manage the incident/problem/request processes for Finance, General & Accounting and Legal business functions. Maintain SLA's for system and application performance and service operations. Work with outside vendor and AMS service providers

  • Service Strategy - Working with Finance/Accounting/Legal leadership, develop & execute the Finance/Legal IT budget & project roadmap

  • Evaluate and propose a 5-year Financial Systems strategy to support Illumina's growth

  • Grow & mentor the Finance IT team to support the Finance Project Roadmap and Systems Strategy

  • Work with the different GIS teams to help optimize Financial Processes across all Illumina systems

  • Working with Enterprise Architecture, create and deploy the Finance Reporting Analytics Platform

  • Service Transition responsible and accountable for the successful execution of projects within the portfolio


  • 10+ years Financial & Accounting Systems project & support experience in a large scale, high volume environment

  • 7+ years of experience as an IT leader, with demonstrated thought leadership and influence across an organization

  • Proven track record of successful software projects in a large-scale, high growth environment

  • Healthcare/life-sciences domain knowledge is a plus

  • Expertise in SAP Financials (ECC), Vertex, VIM

  • Experience in S/4 Central Finance and upgrades to S/4 HANA is a plus


Required B.S. in either Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or related fields. Higher level degrees and certifications a plus.

OPPORTUNITY : Parsons is in need of aSenior Project Manager to support project management and engineering in the field of water and wastewater treatment, water conveyance, pumping, sewers, and sewer rehabilitation. The focus of this role is on the pump filtration system, lift stations, and piping for the facilities. * SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: * Lead multi-disciplinary project teams. * Ability to effectively plan, organize and prioritize multiple projects and manage designs prepared by engineering staff as well as designs performed by sub consultants * Experience in the development of process flow diagrams, process descriptions, process mass and heat balances, and P&IDs. * Ability to conduct independent investigations and collect data. * Anticipate problems and develop solutions to overcome problems. Support business development effort. * Familiar with the function of regulatory agencies with experienced in interfacing among multiple agencies. * Conduct site visits to perform treatment process evaluations and assist with defining project scopes. * Prepare and compile technical memorandums, concept reports, and pre-design reports. * Identify design resource requirements and coordinate design team duties. * Initiate and manage the design of water and wastewater treatment plant systems, water conveyance and wastewater collection system projects, consisting of civil, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and structural components. * Effectively monitor and track project expenditures to ensure that budgets are adhered to. Monitor and track project schedules to ensure that projects are completed on time. JOB REQUIREMENTS: * 4-year degree in Civil or Environmental or Mechanical Engineering and at least 15 years of project management and engineering experience in the field of water and wastewater treatment, water conveyance, sewers, sewer rehabilitation, or related field. * PE Licensed Civil / Environmental or Mechanical Engineer. * Sound knowledge of treatment plant principals and their translation to studies, designs and construction of those facilities. * Knowledge in the areas of: (1) Hydraulic calculations, (2) Process calculations/computer simulations, (3) Environmental chemistry, and (4) Environmental biology. * Knowledge of various processes such as: headworks, chemical feed systems, primary clarifiers, aeration basins, secondary clarifiers, filtration processes, disinfection processes, anaerobic digestion, solids dewatering, digester gas management & cleaning, co-generation, and membrane processes. * Experienced in sewer and sewer rehabilitation design. * Familiar with process related environmental regulations and permitting issues. * Experienced in preparing and giving presentations to clients. * Good understanding of safety issues, including OSHA regulations. * Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. * Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project software. * Incumbent must meet Parsons' project management certification requirements.
