Surdex Corporation is seeking to add a GIS / Image Processing Technician to work through December 2018, with the possibility of continuing on a full-time basis depending on project workload and candidate skills. The Image Processing Technician processes digital imagery for mapping that is acquired during flights.
Creates, edits and reviews digital imagery
Responsible for digital image mosaicking, color balancing and editing
Manages, tracks, produces and archives large quantities of data
Completes projects within deadlines to meet customer needs
Performs quality assurance on all products
Bachelor's Degree in Geography/GIS or related field (preferred), combination of work experience and coursework will be considered
Understanding of maps and geographic coordinates
Ability to understand aerial imagery and its characteristics
Working knowledge of ESRI products and Global Mapper preferred
Photoshop experience is a plus
Exceptional teamwork, collaboration and communication skills required
Ability to work overtime, possibility of night shift
