Girls Varsity Basketball Head Coach

La Canada Unified is seeking a walk-on coach experienced in coaching basketball for the high school girls varsity team. The varsity head coach may be asked to work with the team year-round, including summers, for practice and strength training.

Comments and Other Information

Salary: The stipend for this position is $3,871.96 annually, paid as a lump sum at the conclusion of the competitive season.

Additional compensation is paid at a daily rate for the length of time the team participates in CIF finals. The daily rate is calculated by dividing the regular stipend by the number of days in the regular season. Benefits: This position does not meet the eligibility requirements to participate in the District's health and welfare benefits.

Qualifications: 1. Experience: Two years or more of successful experience coaching high school basketball and/or collegiate, professional or elite travel/club basketball. 2. Licenses: Current first aid and CPR certifications.

Work Calendar: The competitive season occurs during the winter athletics season, which is approximately November through February. The varsity head coach may be asked to work with the team year-round, including summers, for practice and strength training.
