GIO Sr Data Analyst

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree or in lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education and professional and/or military experience may be considered. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Computer Science, Technology, Mathematics preferred.

• Minimum 3 years financial services experience, experience with financial services software.

• MS Office Excel, including VBA/SQL experience.

• Middle office operational experience (e.g. corporate action processing, portfolio accounting, compliance, performance analysis and reconciliation) is a plus.

• Advanced knowledge of applicable operations functions, the firm and the securities industry is a plus.

• Experience with Order Management Systems (e.g. Bloomberg, Charles River); security knowledge including familiarity with Bloomberg Security Master data is a plus.

MAJOR DUTIES:

This position supports, analyzes, and maintains investment and portfolio data that is critical to the operations of the firm. The GIO Senior Data Analyst supports the day-to-day timely delivery of high-quality data across Enterprise datasets and downstream data consumers for the purposes of compliance, reporting, sales, marketing, product management, investment processes, regulatory filings and other corporate usage.

• Engage in various initiatives simultaneously. Address data needs from various groups, such as Fixed Income, Equity, Compliance, etc. and determine data and reporting needs. Develop moderately complex data within the system and create rules for report development.

• Collaborate with other departments to gain a deep knowledge of investment management related data (e.g., security, account attributes, trade data, issuer details, etc.) as well as working systems to increase efficiency and provide effective changes for better performance.

• Create, communicate, monitor and reinforce the department vision, goals and objectives.

• Contribute to the review, development and implementation of new procedures and/or processes resulting from reengineering, new initiatives, increased quality control or as mandated by corporate policy.

• Collaborate and work with all Investment management operational and administration groups to ensure appropriate workflow and communication in Investment Management.

• Ensure integrity of data to support investment management operations including but not limited to: security data, issuer data, broker data, compliance rules and related data Understand the impact of data changes on applicable systems to ensure that operational transactions are processed correctly and within compliance rules.

• Perform and document periodic audits of analyst and associate functions to measure adherence to operational policies and procedures.

• Accurately and independently respond or complete operational tasks, functions and requests.

• Proactively utilize analytical skills to solve issues related to operational functions to streamline in operational processes to reduce risks, improve efficiency and build capacity.

• Day to day review and monitoring of security master reconciliations and maintenances.

• Monitor investment and portfolio data maintained in Federated Hermes data warehouse(s) for accuracy and completeness.

HOURS/LOCATION:

• Ability to work shifts (team provides business coverage from 7AM to 8PM.) Overtime as required.
