30 hours / week, 8am-2pm POSITION SUMMARY Responsible for assisting the gift shop manager in the daily operations of the Gift Shop. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Restocks and inventories shop. Refills lottery tickets in win station and closes the shift in the station. Works in the stockroom receiving and pricing all items. Takes inventory of floral cooler and calls florist. Assists manager with end of year inventory REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE # SKILLS Ability to work effectively as a team member. Ability to work autonomously. Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service skills EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/LICENSURE Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Creates a therapeutic and caring environment for patient and families. Practices in a manner consistent with the Elliot Hospital Interprofessional Practice model; the ANA#s Social Policy Statement, Scope and Standards of Practice, and the Nursing Code of Ethics; and relevant specialty standards of practice. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Core Functions Assists surgical services operating room in activities related to quality improvement, continuing education, orientation, teaching and preceptorship of new staff members. Acts as role model for all staff members Responsible for the maintenance and inventory of all supplies and equipment within designated area of specialty. Exhibits concern for cost containment. Evaluates existing options prior to requesting new equipment, supplies. Ensures needs of the surgeons are met. Maintain and coordinate updates to preference cards within specialty area. Acts as primary liaison for the surgeons and the surgical services management team. Keeps Clinical Nurse Manager and Director informed of all issues. Provides at least 2 specialty related in-service education sessions to staff annually. Ensures room staffing adequate for procedures. Communicates staffing needs to Resource Nurses and Clinical Nurse Manager as appropriate. Ensures professionalism in all aspects of patient care, maintains control of overall work environment, reports any concerns to Clinical Nurse Manager in a timely fashion. Experience: Licensure: New Hampshire Registered Nurse or Compact State Registered Nurse License. Technical Certification: Ability to obtain BCLS qualification during orientation period and maintain during employment. Professional Certification: Nurses are expected to pursue professional certification upon eligibility or within three years of entering the specialty practice. Software/ Hardware: Ability to advance basic computer skills as the health system adds new systems or performs upgrades to existing systems. OTHER REQUIREMENTS Schedule: Work schedule may include 8-12 hours per day with weekend/holiday coverage based on individual unit needs.
