Job Summary:

The Retail Sales Associate provides excellent customer service and actively promotes the selling of merchandise, operates a cash register and handles all payment transactions for purchase. The Retail Associate receives, unpacks, folds and puts away the daily deliveries of merchandise. He or she employs selling techniques required for the position.

The Retail Sales Associate ensures that the selling areas are neat and clean and complies with visual standards. All retail employees should be outgoing, upbeat, energetic and reliable. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned, as necessary.

Roles and Responsibilities: Greets and welcomes customers with a smile as a company representative Ensures each customer interaction results in positive customer interaction

Must be able to use suggestive selling techniques with customers

Must be able to operate register to total guest purchases and accurately balance cash drawer on a daily basis

Assist in stocking retail store displays and maintain cleanliness of store as needed

Obtains merchandise from stockroom when merchandise is not on floor

Organizes and counts in merchandise Participates in counting in and receiving and putting away orders in the gift shop and stock room

Keeps work area neat, clean and stocked with supplies. Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies.Participates in inventories Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.Enforce Project 21 policy and procedures by monitoring area for underage gamblers.

Suggests players in Caesars Rewards, Caesars Rewards App, Play by CR, and Caesars Rewards Visa. Suggests products, services and experiences to guests. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Previous cash handling and P.O.S. register experience Must pass a drug test. Must possess excellent customer service and communication skills Must be able to initiate and engage in conversation in a professional and friendly manner Must be at least 18 years of age. Maintain knowledge of current property events, promotions and attractions.

Must have outgoing personality and be able to generate business. Must be able to work independently, with little supervision. Comfortable working in a fast paced, dynamic environment.

Superior communication and presentation skills. Ability to work effectively in a team setting and independently. Must present a well-groomed appearance.

Must adhere to uniform/appearance requirements. Computer skills including operating hardware, software, and other technical equipment

Ability to appreciate and be friendly with all Harrah's Gulf Coast team members who are of various ethnic and cultural backgrounds.Able to accept direction of Senior Leadership. Physical, Mental & Environmental Demands:

Able to read, write and speak English sufficiently to perform job. Available to work any shift, holidays and weekends. Ability to tolerate cigarette/cigar smoke and e-cigarette vapor Responds to visual and aural cues. Must have manual dexterity to be able to operate the following equipment: computer, telephone, photo copy machine, fax machine, ten key, embosser, and printer Able to tolerate a loud and noisy environment Able to stand and walk for extended periods Able to sit, stoop, reach and bend Must be able to work warm environment/stockroom Able to lift 20 pounds
