THE POSITION

As a Gift Planning Associate, you'll support the Office of Gift Planning and the overarching mission of Alumnae Relations and Development (ARD). Your responsibilities will include managing office operations, communications, and donor relations. Key duties also include coordinating and administering life income gifts and bequests, preparing legal documents and proposals, and ensuring compliance with charitable state solicitation regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide organizational and administrative support to the Office of Gift Planning and play an integral role in furthering the mission of the division of ARD.

  • Coordinate and administer life income gifts and bequests, including preparation of legal documents and proposals.

  • Maintain compliance with charitable state solicitation regulations.

  • Assist in the coordination of the Gift Planning marketing and communications plan.

  • Contribute to the development and execution of stewardship plans for planned giving donors.

  • Serve as a liaison with major donors, prospects, and volunteers.

  • Ensure accurate acknowledgment and processing of all gifts.

  • Maintain database records and perform necessary reporting activities.

  • Prepare materials for Board of Trustees meetings.

  • Staff occasional college events as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required, with 1-2 years of relevant experience, preferably in fundraising.

  • Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and handle confidential matters with discretion.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Experience with database management and CRM software; familiarity with RENXT and PGCalc software is helpful.

  • Must be able to climb stairs, as not all campus buildings are ADA accessible.

  • Valid driver's license; ability and willingness to drive.
