Position: GI Technician
Location: Offsite in Highland Park, IL
Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
Hours: Days with rotation to weekends & on call hours
Required Travel: To other sites as needed
What you will need:
Education: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience
Certification: BLS, completion of an accredited Medical Assistance, Certified Nursing Assistance or Bachelor's Degree
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of MA, C.N.A. or PCT experience preferred
Skills:Basic knowledge of Physiology, Anatomy and Medical Terminology, basic computer experience, able to take vitals and perform CPR
What you will do:
Room patients, take vital sings
Procedure room set up and equipment care and maintenance
Assist with specimen collection
Assist physicians during procedures
Disinfection of instruments
Assist with patient care under the supervision of the RN
