St. Rose Dominican Hospitals Gastrointestinal Laboratory, San Martin, provides services to a patient population to include: both inpatient as well as outpatients. The G.I.Lab provides special procedures to include Colonoscopies, Bronchoscopes, Esophagogastroduodenoscopies, Endoscopy Retrograde Cholangio Pancreatography, Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrotomy. The department provides care to adult and geriatric populations.

Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The technician is responsible for assisting with patient care within the assigned work area and participates as a member of the health care team. The technician contributes to the care of the patient by following established Surgical Services standards.

  • This position is represented by SEIU, Local 1107 and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • One (1) year hospital experience.

  • High school graduate or equivalent required.

  • Graduate from a Surgical Technologist program or one year hospital experience if a Surgical Tech.

  • Required to be flexible in schedule, i.e., weekends, holidays and on call.

  • CT CPRBLS - Basic Life Support - AHA

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Surgery center or GI Lab.

Receives and processes applications for variances, rezoning, specific plan amendments, subdivision maps, annexations, use permits, and related zoning/planning and regulation items. Monitors status of development applications from acceptance to issuance of final permit. Makes field surveys and investigations related to planning and zoning projects or requests. Contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of the unit's service to its customers by offering suggestions and directing or participating as an active member of a work team. Uses standard office equipment, including a computer, in the course of the work; may drive a motor vehicle to attend meetings and inspect property sites.
