Description Prepare, clean, and maintain Endoscopy room and equipment.

Set up and clean Endoscopy room. Assists nurse with transferring and positioning patients for care. Responsible for cleaning of all endoscopes and accessories as per SGNA Standards.

Handles and safely stores all endoscopy equipment: is responsible for safety checks of endoscopy equipment, sending endoscopes out for repair, and maintaining a log book. Assists physicians in obtaining all specimens; i.e., biopsies, polypectomies, and cultures. Assists physicians on all therapeutic procedures. Requirement: Endoscopy Technician certificate within a year of employment.
