GI Technician

Actalent is currently partnering with a facility in the Oak Ridge area in need of a GI Technician to join their team. Please see below for details and qualifications Description:

Prep room for Endoscopy procedures Communicate with physicians regarding patient vitals Taking and monitoring patient vital signs, data entry and maintaining a sterile environment Escorts patient/families through and assists in checking in of patients as scheduled or needed Safely delivers Endoscopes to and from the procedure room Collects, labels, and sends specimens with the correct paperwork out of the procedure room Assists scope team with removal of cleaned scopes as needed Reprocessing and cleaning of equipment Sterilizing equipment after procedures Skills & Qualifications: HS diploma or equivalent required Completion of a medical assistant, endoscopy technician or surgical technician training program required Experience working in Gastroenterology or Internal Medicine clinic At least one year of patient care or equipment maintenance experience Demonstrates knowledge and skills to provide care, maintain clinical competency and meet patient population needs within clinic Details: Entry Level 1st shift M-F $18-20/hr, BOE About Actalent Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
