Responsibilities & Requirements
GI Technician (GI Tech) serves as a member of the interdisciplinary team and is responsible for assisting with patient care under the supervision of a professional nurse. The GI Tech performs nursing care skills that have been delegated by the licensed nurse. She/he plays an integral role in the patient care experience and both directly and indirectly impacts the perception of care.
The GI Tech reports to the charge nurse or clinical manager.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Passes a pre-hire employment tests
Successful completion of either KHN GI Tech orientation
GI endoscopy experience preferred
Endoscopy experience preferred
