Looking for an experienced GI Endoscopy RN. Full-time position in fast-paced ambulatory Surgery Center in Santa Clarita.Pre-op and PACU experience a plus.
Mon. - Friday, days, no weekends or holidays. New grads will not be considered for this position.
The GI RN would demonstrate initiative, insight, and judgment in a GI endoscopy setting by assessing, planning, evaluating, ensuring and implementing appropriate standards of patient and family-centric care to achieve identified outcomes. The candidate would follow approved GI procedures to meet the requirements of scheduled procedures.
Knowledge of the actions, potency, side effects, dosages, and contraindications of drugs used for IV moderate sedation.
Ability provide physician guided moderate sedation in a GI endoscopy setting.
Ability to work in a creative, organized, self-directed and goal setting manner.
Ability to work with a team and rescue patient in case of deep sedation
Skill in interacting with others in a positive, respectful, and considerate manner.
Skill in the safe operation of equipment and machinery.
Good command of the English language, both written and verbal.
Meets the needs of the nursing services as demanded by the schedule, particularly when overtime hours and time changes become necessary
Ability to work well with physicians, employees, patients and others.
Minimum Experience: 2 Years
Graduate of a Professional School of Nursing
Current BLS, ACLS and PALS required.
Current CA state licensure as a registered nurse
