The primary function of the Occupational Therapist is to evaluate short term rehab patients and long term care residents referred for Occupational Therapy. The therapist will develop a treatment plan specific to meeting the individual needs of each patient/resident and implements the treatment program based on the information from the evaluation.
Graduate of an accredited B.S. and M.S. Degree Program in Occupational Therapy;
Licensed to practice Occupational Therapy in the State of New York;
One year diversified clinical experience strongly preferred
Understanding of third party reimbursement requirements.
Ability to cope with the emotional and mental stress of the position;
Understand and respect the confidential nature of the work;
Well-developed interpersonal skills;
Strong written and verbal communication skills;
Good organization skills to function in fast-paced treatment setting are required.
