Internship positions at Jacobs provide college students an opportunity to gain real-world experience in their specific area of study. The candidate will assist engineers with a variety of tasks on geotechnical engineering projects including geotechnical analysis and design for infrastructure projects. This position will primarily support senior level Geotechnical Engineers to complete planning/study documents, preliminary geotechnical design, detailed geotechnical design, permitting documents, and geotechnical engineering design reports.
Each day, you will be an important team member as you collaborate in multi-discipline team environment in the evaluation, design, coordination, and execution of projects for our clients. Our team is committed to mentorship and providing opportunities to work independently and with peers. The candidate will also learn the design and consulting side of engineering.
Pursuing a MS degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasize in Geotechnical Engineering.

3.0 GPA or higher
Familiarity with geotechnical software (SLIDE, LPILE, etc.)
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite applications
Previous design intern experience is preferred
Ability to work and thrive in a team environment
Ability to self-motivate and work productively without supervision
