Overview We are looking for experienced Geotechnical Driller (Geohazard Mitigation Technician Level 3, GMT3) to join our team. As a GMT3 working for GSI, there is no typical day and the scenery changes often.

You will be working outside with your hands in a wide variety of climates. On one project you may be working on a slope installing a retaining wall and the next project you could be stabilizing a bridge. This is the perfect career for someone that does not want to work in a traditional setting like a warehouse or office.

Our expertise, proprietary tools, and worldwide partnerships allow us to repair virtually any slope stability or foundation problem in any geologic setting. Responsibilities Operate rock drills (Cammachio, KIemm, Casagrande, Fraste) Mix, spray, run hoses, and operate shotcrete or grouting pumps Operate construction equipment such as excavator, all terrain forklifts, man lifts, skid steers, and front end loaders Reading and determining measurements Maintain a clean and organized construction site Work together in a team environment Qualifications Basic Qualifications:

At least one year soil stabilization or geohazard mitigation experience required Heavy equipment operation experience Prior concrete or shotcrete experience Drilling experience Ability to travel extensively Reliability and a strong work ethic Ability to get along with a diverse group of people Preferred Qualifications: Class A CDL Nozzleman certification (ACI Certification) Work Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Climates vary in degrees, in tropical to desert environments.

The noise level in the work environment is moderate and hearing protection is often required. Exposure to characteristic construction site dangers. Regular heavy lifting (75lbs) of construction materials on the job site.

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Travel: 100% travelling in the Western US. Employees are expected to work a 3 weeks on, 1 week off schedule.

Pay: $23/hr - $27/hr. In 2023, with overtime, employees in this job made the equivalent of nearly $34/hr.
