Geospatial Analyst / Trainer

The BuckEye Program has an opening for a Geospatial Analyst Trainer to manage part of the processing training program. To maintain consistency at the Alexandria, VA home office, Trainers will have less frequent deployment assignments.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop training plans for new hires and cross-training, focusing on effectiveness and efficiency

• Develop training requirements and execute consistent evaluation practices

• Demonstrate understanding of Leica/Sigma Space LiDAR sensor data processing

• Maintain training documentation and SOPs

• Work with Subject Matter Experts to vet and implement process changes and improvement

• Coordinate workshops and training exercises

• Report training status to customer and Program Management

• Assess the future needs of the training program

• Adapt training to meet requirements for new processes and technology

• Counsel trainees who are not meeting requirements and develop tailored improvement plans

• Attend/Lead meetings with stakeholders when necessary

• Mentor new hires and assist with on-boarding

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's and 2+ years of experience, or commensurate experience in lieu of degree

• Ability to perform work in Alexandria, VA at Leidos and customer facilities

• Ability to obtain and maintain Secret clearance

• Experience in development and execution of organized training plans

• Possess relevant knowledge and experience with digital cartography, computer technology, geographical information systems, geospatial production techniques, and digital data formats

• Experience with technical writing

• Meet Program training and DoD medical examination requirements for deployment, including meeting all CONUS Replacement Course (CRC) deployment requirements

• Able and willing to learn new processing techniques

• Strong written and verbal communication skills and strong people skills for collaborating with others, communicating with your team, and speaking with customers/clients.

Preferred Qualifications

• BuckEye deployment experience

• Possess an understanding of Leica/Sigma Space sensor systems

Pay Range:

Pay Range $61,750.00 - $111,625.00
