The Geospatial Analyst provides support to the Air Force Civil Engineering (AFCE) Program Management Office (PMO). This position provides technical consultation regarding the implementation of Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) using the Environmental Systems Research Institute (Esri) products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Plans implementations and upgrades of Esri products within an Enterprise system environment such as ArcGIS 10.x or higher, ArcSDE 10.x or higher, ArcServer 10.x or higher, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Enterprise/Portal for ArcGIS.
Identifies training requirements and assists in developing field training plans.
Analyzes and tracks the impact of implemented initiatives and recommends adjustments for further improvements based on those findings.
Implements and utilizes Portal for ArcGIS to accomplish business processes, including analyzing existing business processes/workflows and developing strategies to migrate them into Portal for ArcGIS.
Provides recommendations based on experience and industry-leading techniques in areas such as enterprise spatial solutions.
Installs and tests enterprise GIS applications within development, test, and preproduction environments.
Analyzes geospatial business processes and work flow procedures, gathering information from consultation with customer, user community, and Esri consultants.
Analyzes and evaluates complex alternatives concerning program priorities, policies and customer requirements. Develops formal system requirements within systems associated with GIS implementations.
Conducts GIS market research, conducts equipment demonstrations, and assists in gathering geospatial technical information such as but not limited to Air Force Common Installation picture (CIP) and Mission Data Sets (MDS).
Develops technical support documents to include, but not limited to Technical Manuals, Application and/or Tool User Manuals, Training Documents, and Service Guides to be followed by field users to leverage program capabilities.
Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to any training made available by the company.
Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor's instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output. Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company.
Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and coworkers. Will report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor and human resources. Will immediately correct any unsafe conditions to the best of own ability.
Bachelor's degree and the following number of years' of relevant experience for the respective levels (or equivalent combination of education / experience). Minimum 5 years' experience in GIS integration using Esri software to include ArcGIS Desktop, ArcServer, and other Esri tools and extensions. Preferred one (1) year experience in enterprise GIS systems architecture.
Geospatial Analyst Level 3 (degree and 10+ years of experience)
Geospatial Analyst Level 2 (degree and 5+ years of experience)
CERTIFICATES / LICENSES / REGISTRATION
Ability to obtain a security clearance if required
