Cloud Engineer that has demonstrated expertise with Azure platform as well as the network and security protocols that come along with creating an infrastructure. Must be highly motivated, self-starter and a change agent with experience and desire to drive organizations to be successful on the cutting-edge of Cloud technologies.
The selected candidate will be responsible for overall strategy, architecture and design of DPH OIT Commercial/Government Cloud service enablement. You will be asked to provide guidance across data, storage, network, virtualization, containerization and Security and help transform the organizations to take advantage of DevSecOps, CI/CD and agile methodologies.

Execute POCs and Cloud placement/Cloud fit studies to help organization to make better business decisions in leveraging Cloud technologies for next-generation product innovation
Help enhance Cloud Center of Excellence by defining and governing architectural standards/principles, global product security guidelines, cloud governance
Stay current with IaaS & PaaS trends and research and implement containerization of cloud offerings.
Actively facilitate and drive Cloud technology decisions within the organization and drive "Cloud First" strategy.
5-7 years of hands on experience in all aspects of cloud computing (compute, storage, platforms, data and security) with a proven track-record in implementing large scale cloud environments.
Hands on experience in cloud computing-based services architecture, technical design and implementations including IaaS and PaaS is essential.
Hands on experience with Microsoft Azure and operating familiarity of AWS platform is a must.
Requires knowledge of Cloud cost optimization techniques.
Experience in one or more automation languages (PowerShell, Python, Ruby, CLI) is a must, Azure Log Analytics, Azure Portal, Azure Services is a must.
Knowledge of Azure ExpressRoute, DirectConnect, Firewalls, Gov. Cloud is essential
Thorough understanding of infrastructure automation, CI/CD, networking, storage and cloud-based delivery models is essential.
Knowledge in networking and web standards such as DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, HTTP, web security, firewalls is essential.
Experience in autoscaling, load balancing, DR, SSO/Federation, AD/Azure AD is essential.
Experience of DevOps with Azure and/or AWS CLI & Lambda is nice to have.
Working knowledge of config management tools such as Chef, Puppet & Ansible is desired.
Through understanding of Cloud native, vendor agnostic, cloud ready app development.
Knowledge in cloud monitoring tools, application performance monitoring tools, operational dash-boarding is desired

The person in the role could be based in any major metro area in the East and Central part of the United States. This position is responsible for providing technical leadership, management and strategy for the sell with/go-to-market engagement and all joint activities with Microsoft-Azure. The Engagement manager will have a myriad of different responsibilities to ensure leverage and consistent engagement with Microsoft-Azure to drive customer engagements through technical demos and PoCs, qualified pipeline and cloud bookings that meet and exceed quota and expectations. The Engagement Manager will be part of the team that coordinates Palo Alto Networks demand generation and sales activities and will be a central conduit for engagement management between the Palo Alto Network's sales organization and Microsoft-Azure. The Public Cloud Engagement Manager will report to the Director of Public Cloud Sales but will have several dotted line coordination requirements for consistent communication and engagement with Business Development, Marketing, Channels, Inside Sales and Product Marketing/Development. This position will be a subject matter expert on all technical aspects of Microsoft-Azure and Palo Alto Networks cloud solutions, and will be asked to present at QBRs, executive meetings, trainings and events. The Public Cloud Engagement Manager is regarded as being highly strategic to the company and the Public Cloud initiative in regard to strategy, influence and execution. The Engagement manager is required to contribute to the larger Palo Alto Network's Public Cloud strategy outside of their day to day activities and will be called upon for their subject matter expertise in trainings, QBRs, enablement, and other engagement activities. It is expected that the Cloud Engagement manager have consistent interaction and engagement with customers, , channel partners and born in the cloud partners in support of the "sell with" activities with Microsoft-Azure. The Engagement manager will demonstrate a deep understanding of Microsoft-Azure go-to-market strategies including but not limited to co-selling, strategic planning and goal setting, channel programs, marketing campaigns and programs, strategic events and funnel management. Responsibilities: * Manage all North America joint sell with and go to market activities with Microsoft-Azure * Create compelling demos and hands on activities to technically convince customers to adopt Palo Alto Networks cloud products * Deeply understand Microsoft Azure to be able to convince customers about Palo Alto Networks solutions on Azure in competitive situations * Facilitate co-selling opportunities, account mapping and other sales engagements between Palo Alto Network's field sales and the Microsoft-Azure sales/technical teams * Support Palo Alto Network's field sales organization on engagement management with Microsoft-Azure * Assist with providing content for Public Cloud training curriculum and sales enablement * Coordinate activities and have involvement with the Public Cloud virtual team of Business Development, Marketing, Product Management, Channels and Sales as part of cloud strategy * Develop annual strategic plan and performance goals for assigned Cloud Provider * Provide support and coordination for channel activity with assigned Cloud Provider * Understand and articulate the Public Cloud provider's strategic initiatives and gain a deep understanding of the activities, roadmap and vision of the Cloud Provider * Provide an escalation point for pre-sales and post sales issues for any activity with the Public Cloud provider * Build and maintain relationships with key personnel in the Public Cloud provider to solidify Palo Alto Network's standing and awareness within the provider and to assist in the development of key relationships with the extended Palo Alto Network's cloud team and executives * Direct engagement and partner relationships are a critical part of this role * Help provide insight in the support of Public Cloud events and attend/participate in the events * Provide support in the form of expertise and training for Palo Alto Network's field sales enablement Qualifications: * BA, BS (or equivalent work experience) * 10+ Years' experience in Technical Leadership – Account or Channel Management, Solutions Engineering, System Engineering, Cloud consulting * Proven experience in the management of large global accounts * Public Cloud experience is required * Channel experience including selling with or managing channel partners is preferred * Industry knowledge of security product market trends and directional awareness of Palo Alto Network's roadmap and technology development efforts * The role calls for knowledge of competitive security products. * Knowledge of how to deliver comprehensive security solutions to PAN's customer base, and maintains a general understanding of competitive selling strategies * Demonstrated ability to work in a virtual and matrix environment * Proven ability to manage a myriad of different disciplines and tasks in a high pressure, time sensitive environment * 40% Travel, nationally * Strong communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills * "Whatever it takes" attitude and motivation to do whatever necessary to assist in winning business Learn more about Palo Alto Networks here and check out our fast facts Palo Alto Networks Inc.
