Description
RETTEW, a leading engineering and consulting firm, seeks a highly organized and detail-oriented Subsurface Utility Engineering/Geophysical Project Manager.
As the Geophysical Project Manager at RETTEW, you will serve as the main point of contact for Subsurface Utility Engineering and Geophysical Services in our Western PA, Ohio, and West Virginia Offices.
Responsibilities:
Manage multiple client relationships and projects; adhere to contract requirements and professional standards.
Managing single-discipline projects with budgets up to 100K; multi-disciplinary project management experience is a plus.
Manage project teams with 2 to 5+ staff.
Perform field investigations and prepare report deliverables.
Maintain an active role in business development for the team and company.
Maintain active membership in professional organizations.
This is a leadership track position with potential for growth into a Team Lead role.
Requirements:
Advanced skills in subsurface utility designating field techniques (metal detection, electromagnetics [EM], duct rodding, GPR, etc.).
Ability to work independently to locate water, sewer, gas, fiber, telecom, electric sanitary, and storm utilities.
Experience with concrete scanning GPR and rebar mapping is a plus.
Experience and/or interest in learning advanced geophysical field investigation techniques (seismic, gravity, borehole, EM, etc.).
Experience with GPS/GNSS surveying techniques.
Experience managing air/hydro-excavating field activities (test holes).
Experience with CCTV video pipe inspection (storm/sanitary sewer) is a plus.
Ability to prepare reports and exhibits.
Possess 5-10+ years of utility locating experience.
Highly motivated; willing to travel periodically; strong work ethic, verbal and written communication skills.
Experience in task management and client relations.
Passion for field work and building client relationships through quality work.
Strong commitment to safety culture.
