Title:

GEOINT Ground Systems Engineer

KBR is seeking a GEOINT Ground Systems Engineer to provide Systems Engineering and Technical Advisory (SETA) services at Fort Belvoir, VA. You will work multiple ground system projects and tasks-from broad, strategic issues (e.g. policies, concept of operations, etc.) to tactical concerns (e.g., near-term schedules, testing, etc.). While your duties may fluctuate, you will primarily be responsible for:

• Supporting Chief Engineer and government staff to execute systems engineering and integration (SE&I) activities across the site.

• Working with SE&I teams to follow site system engineering process; overseeing site processes used to document and manage site baseline to accommodate mission growth.

• Interfacing with System Program Offices (SPO) to integrate various GEOINT space missions into a ground-based architecture, ensure the delivering organization understands site integration needs and processes.

• Assisting in developing standards, processes and procedures; reviewing and evaluating technical documentation (e.g. CONOPS, requirements; issues and risks, etc.).

• Representing government's interests at various forums; providing analysis and recommendations to multiple government customers.

• Coordinating with key project managers on a routine basis to evaluate contractor performance.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

• Active TS/SCI with CI polygraph.

• Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) and nine (9) years or more experience; or master's in STEM field and seven (7) years or more experience.

• Technical knowledge of ground communications and mission data processing systems, familiar with space vehicle mission planning and command and control systems.

• Full system engineering life cycle experience.

• Ability to work independently to support multiple government customers and large, complex projects to address organization's needs throughout system development lifecycle.

• Self-starter, proactively addresses customer requirements without supervision; expert at defining solutions for broad, abstract topics.

• Polished communicator (written/verbal), impeccable interpersonal skills and personal judgment.

• Master at collaboration and coordination with multiple stakeholders -- consensus builder.

Desired:

• Real-time operations experience as a GEOINT spacecraft operator, spacecraft engineer, or ground systems operator; familiar with space operations and policies.

• Familiar with Digital Engineering/Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Agile development, cloud technologies, government technical standards.

• Project management experience with delivered systems.
