A health professional academically and clinically prepared to provide genetic services to individuals and families seeking information about the occurrence, or risk of occurrence of a genetic condition or birth defect. Practices as a part of a genetic service team, communicating genetic, medical and technical information with knowledge and insight into the psychosocial and cultural experiences important to each client and family.

Basic Qualifications:

Education

  • Master's Degree in of an accredited Genetic Counseling Program

Licenses

  • Board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Medical Genetics or the American Board of Genetic Counselors Upon Hire

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience

  • Prenatal genetic counseling expeirence
