Opportunity Summary:

Generator Shop Technicians are responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, diagnosing preventive maintenance, and emergency services on stand-by power generation equipment. Salary range is determined by experience.

Job Duties:

  • Service, repair, modify, diagnosis and rebuild standby power generators ranging from 8.5kw- 3500kw.

  • Perform failure analysis, service, and/or repairs

  • Service a variety of power generation equipment and air compressors

  • Check/repair all supporting systems such as fuel, cooling, and electrical systems

  • Operation of load banks and recording of instrumentation

  • Clean, check, recondition, and determine the reusability of used parts

  • Keep current with product changes, specifications, and updates

  • Compile all repair, maintenance, and estimates for the above-listed duties

Work Experience & Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of mechanic experience with similar diesel equipment and/or heavy equipment or specialty lines equipment (large-scale generators, pumps, and compressors)
  • EGSA Certification (Preferred)
  • Computer and software skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
