About Firm wide AI The Firmwide Generative AI Team at Morgan Stanley is a dynamic and innovative department that serves as a center of AI enablement for the firm. The team is responsible for deploying advanced systems that utilize generative artificial intelligence to optimize business processes.

The team oversees governance and control measures to ensure the ethical and responsible use of AI technologies. The team is committed to fostering a culture of continuous learning and provide education on AI technologies to other departments within the company. Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated GenAI Solutions & Strategy Executive Director to join our Firmwide GenAI team. The successful candidate will have two key responsibilities that they will need to manage. The first is to partner with business areas across the firm to design, develop, and deploy generative AI-based solutions that serve their needs.

This responsibility involves understand requirements from those businesses and then collaborating with firmwide AI team to ensure that the appropriate level of training, solutioning, evaluation, and other forms of support are provided to those businesses developing their own GenAI Solutions. Success will be embedding the capabilities of GenAI into the individual businesses and meeting their targeted KPIs. The second responsibility will involve the candidate in leading the strategic design of GenAI solutions that are scalable across a wide range of use cases, in close collaboration with technology.

This requires identifying common patterns and approaches that allow for re-use across the firm while also influencing the use cases to adopt these patterns. Key Responsibilities: 1. Generative AI Enablement:

Identify the areas of need for the respective business areas and ensure that appropriate level of training/education, LLM solutioning, evaluation standards, and support is in place to execute on GenAI efforts that have a meaningful impact to the business areas. Partner with the central AI team in order to deliver the latest updates on how to effectively deploy GenAI capabilities 2. Project Planning and Execution:

Develop and maintain comprehensive project plan in collaboration with individual business areas for GenAI initiatives, including timelines, milestones, and resources. Coordinate project activities and ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives. 3. Stakeholder Management:

Establish and maintain effective communication channels with internal stakeholders. Listen and influence them towards the right approach that meets their needs while adhering to the firmwide approach. 4. Risk Management:

Identify potential risk and issues that may impact project delivery and develop mitigation strategies to address them proactively. Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions as necessary to ensure successful outcomes. 5. Strategic Design & Architecture:

Identify common patterns of use cases and collaborate with technology to identify reusable approach across infrastructure, UX, GenAI solutioning. 6. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the organization to drive alignment and synergy on GenAI projects. 7.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Track project performance metrics and KPIs to measure progress against objective and identify areas for improvement. 8. Continuous Improvement: Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes, increase efficiency, and enhance overall effectiveness of GenAI programs.

  • Proven experience in program or project management

  • Strong understanding of artificial intelligence concepts and technologies.

  • Experience in managing senior stakeholders and delivering against their key requirements

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills

  • Experience with technology implementation

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

  • Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $160,000 and $250,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
