The essential duties for this job include:

  • Completes pay sheets for actual work completed.

  • Drives to inspect construction workmanship to ensure contractors build and maintain roadways, bridges, traffic signals and related highway structures in accordance with plans and specifications.

  • Maintains a daily activity of work in progress and status of completion.

  • Maintains construction project records or bridge inspection records; processes related paperwork; assists in reviewing files for compliance with the bridge inspection Manual of Procedures.

  • Reviews plans, enters data and updates, stores and maintains PS&E documents and files; assists in PS&E processing for letting, to include reproducing and distributing documents.

  • Performs other job responsibilities as assigned.

Job Summary: Essential functions include but are not limited to the following: (Note: These are subject to change as business and other conditions require): The NGL Pipeline Specialist's responsibilities include technical support, training, project development and execution, O&M and Capital budget support and management, as well as support of regional initiatives/projects. The NGL Pipeline Specialist works with Regional locations to provide technical support for pipeline facilities/activities within the Region that include, but are not limited to: 75% of Job Duties: * Provide a leadership role in the company's response to pipeline emergencies and failures * Participate in root cause failure analysis of assigned abnormal operations, near misses, failures and incidents * Manage all aspects of assigned projects including design, procurement, contracts, construction/implementation, documentation, cost tracking and forecasting * Lead project commissioning teams through site review, PSSR completion, job planning, on-site direction, and final documentation * Lead process improvement efforts through verification/review of existing processes as well as research and develop new processes, and submit resulting projects to Division engineering for future budgeting and completion * Responsible for providing training, direction and technical assistance to field operating personnel within the NGL Division, specifically operation and maintenance training and procedure review/development * Participate / assist in Skill Qualification and Operator Qualification skill evaluations and re-verifications of field operating personnel related to pipeline operations and maintenance * Assist in OQ process reporting, appropriate assignments and adjustments identified needed to OQ program for NGL * Receive development plans, analyze, assist Supervisors in leveraging common training opportunities. Assist in identifying / developing training (formal / OJT) in support of Skill Assessment process. Research and evaluate 3rd party training for technical skills. Create feedback tool from attendees. Adjust training as necessary 25% of Job Duties: * Performs gate, ball, globe, plug valves rebuilds and removes/replaces pump(s) * Uses software to download and interpret data for troubleshooting and to determine / make adjustments to alignment * Calibrates and/or troubleshoots, repairs/replaces line of sight or ultra-sonic detector * Troubleshoots and identifies failed PLC component(s) * Tests, diagnoses, and repairs/replaces coriolis meter component(s) * Performs Megger test and interprets data. Troubleshoots transfer switches for proper operation (testing and maintenance) * Adds a ladder or loop to a PLC program to place additional equipment in service, verifies operation of new program additions before placing them in service, and saves the revised PLC program * Creates new HMI screens, modifies the HMI program to trend pressure data, and saves for DOT records Position requires approximately 35% travel within area of responsibility.
