The primary purpose of this position is Air Reserve Technician (ART) provides an interface between the aircraft maintenance activity and the logistics support activities which provide equipment, supplies, parts and components. Additionally, position provides training to reservists in the accomplishment of tasks set forth herein.

Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the Maintenance Supply Liaison function within the Logistics Readiness Squadron; ensuring equipment support complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs.
Represents unit in working with supply support organizations to determine requirements and the capability of supply to support those requirements.
Serves as the Maintenance Supply Liaison for assistance on issues concerning Depot Level Reparable (DLRs).
Accountability of supply and equipment assets. Utilizes the GO-81 database to provide on-line access to organization, equipment, mission, and status update.
Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.

Position may or will require incumbent to Fly in military and/or commercial aircraft in the performance of temporary duty (TDY) assignments
Required to meet and maintain Air Force Reserve requirements. Incumbent's regular assignments are primarily ART duties: however, the incumbent may be assigned some non-ART duties, generally not to exceed 30 percent of total responsibilities
Position may require a background security investigation to determine suitability for employment and/or a security clearance
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-09 One year of specialized experience which includes includes analyzing, evaluating and managing a supply program; supply regulations, policies, procedures, principles, and practices for managing, analyzing and evaluating a supply program; receiving, provisioning, acquiring provisions, controlling, preparing and maintaining documentation and distributing for a supply program. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the GS-07 grade/level position or equivalent in the federal service. NOTE: You must submit a copy of official transcripts.
Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. NOTE: You must submit a copy of official transcripts.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. NOTE: You must submit a copy of official transcripts.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1.Knowledge of supply laws, regulations, policies, procedures, techniques, methods and the supply system.
2.Knowledge of the mission, roles, functions, organizational structures and operation of the DOD, Air Force, and organizations that govern, interface with, and/or influence the supply stock fund management process.
3.Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
