Responsibilities

  • Manage the administration and maintenance of an automated property management system.

  • Manage stock control databases by approving and validating inventories, conducting research and approving documentation issues and turn-ins.

  • Manage accountable records that show item identification gains/losses, conditions and location of all assigned property.

  • Maintain stock record accounts and audit trail records for accountable property and reconcile accounts.

  • Administer the property disposal system for excess accountable property.

  • Update and maintain current stock record accounts and audit trail records for accountable property.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document.

To qualify based on experience, your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience which includes: executing the administration and maintenance of an automated property management system; validating accountable records that show item identification, gains, losses, conditions and location of property assigned to the stock record account; utilizing automated supply systems such as Standard Retail Supply (Level 1 and Level 2CA) and the Global Combat Support System; updating and maintaining current stock record accounts; and administering the property disposal system for excess accountable property. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR

A Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR

A combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).

We are seeking a qualified Administrative Specialist to support the 53rd Wing Technical Support Services contract and provide outstanding administrative specialist support. Administrative support includes (but is not limited to) preparing finalized advanced program documentation, maintaining and coordinating conference room schedules and video teleconferencing scheduling/meetings, meeting minutes, action item tracking, and other government support functions. Position will be located at Eglin AFB, FL. The individual will be working in a fast-paced and highly technical area that requires a strong work ethic and attention to detail. Duties will include: * Develop meeting agendas, notifications, and post-meeting minutes to include establishing and modifying Microsoft Word templates, as needed. * Oversee 8-12 high priority meetings per week and document significant meeting activities/discussions such as capture commander-directed action items and program manager communications. * Ensuring proper portion classification of all documents created and/or provided for review. * Ensures appropriate storage of classified material. * Upload and distribute meeting agendas, notifications, and minutes to local USAF organizations and other/external DoD components. * Review and file incoming and outgoing correspondence, materials, publications, regulations, and directives. Education: * Requires two (2) years of college with courses in business administration, computer science, or industrial management, and four (4) years progressive experience, or any equivalent combination of relevant education and experience. * An Associate Degree in a related administrative career field is highly desired. Required: * Must have TS/SCI with investigation closeout and DCID 6/4 eligibility within 5.5 years at the time of application * Must be willing to submit to a CI polygraph * 4-5 years direct experience providing administrative services and/or unit budget activities and related support * Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Essential Functions Work Environment Office setting that includes sedentary physical effort. No hazards on job or unusual environmental conditions. Periodic/occasional travel may be required to include both continental US and/or overseas locations.
