Position Summary

Responsible for the efficient inspection, repair and replacement of general automotive parts and accessories. A successful General Service Technician will serve as the resident expert in the companies' core services, such as, oil solutions, battery services and tire installations; and deliver superior service through educating the customer on the problems and proposed solutions for their vehicle. The General Service Technician will conduct a wide variety of inspections and repairs, including but not limited to fluid exchanges and maintenance services, tire inspections / installations and bulb, wiper blade and filter replacements. The General Service Technician may be required to provide advice to and sell customers on automotive services and repairs that are recommended or required for their vehicle.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepare and ship complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship).

  • Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store).

  • Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high.

  • Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization.

  • Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment.

  • Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations.

  • Strong customer service skills.

  • Strong verbal skills.

  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • 6 months of relevant experience preferred.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret retail business reports, professional and/or technical journals, time reports, operational reports, government regulations, merchandising reports, plan-o-gram (merchandising) instructions or technical procedures.

  • Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages and fractions.

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

  • Must be able to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Description ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: * Lifts and installs specified molds into molding machines. Bolts molds in position, adjusts mold height and sets ejector stroke for a wide range of Molding Presses. * Ability to set / select the molding conditions, processes or programming for Molds * Troubleshoot and resolve all injection molding issues, * Proficient with all auxiliary equipment, Chillers, Mold Heaters, Conveyors and Yushin Robots. * Submit and monitor Molding condition Report daily. * Removes molds from molding machines when run is completed and moves to storage. * Connects hoses and sets valves to regulate flow of water circulating through the mold to control temperature of molds. Inspects hoses for wear, replaces as needed. * Adjusts controls on molding machine to control temperature, pressure and cycle time. * Inspects product for defects and able to adjust the processing conditions to ensure parts meet quality requirements. * Ability to assist the ME Group with Qualifying New Molds and Presses and when running the IO, OQ & PQ Qualifying Lots, with basic understanding of documentation required. * Loads feeding hoppers and dryers with plastic resin, when a material change is required. * Visually inspects parts produced from the molding operation, completes log in MII reports. * Completes required documentation / check lists as required by existing SOPs. * Sets up equipment, as necessary, for the performing of secondary operations. * Maintaining cleanliness and safety of the work area including the use of Safety Barriers. * Assists in the transportation and installation and setup of molds in molding machines. Job Requirements Qualifications Education or experience (in Years) * High School degree (or equivalent experience) with 1-2 years of related work experience OR * AA or Technical Trade Degree with 0-1 years of work experience Knowledge and skills: * Vocational classes or previous "hands on" experience gained while working in other Injection Molding Facilities or similar Industries. * Ability to train new Mold Setters from identified candidates from within the Company. * Forklift and Crane certification. * Loading and securing heavy items for transport with the company truck. * Lift molds and install in molding machines, using cranes and hoists. * Some experience in operating manufacturing and packaging equipment. * The ability to understand SOPs and demonstrate understanding through verbal and/or written format is required.
