General Office Worker

San Francisco, CA

PAE has an opportunity for a General Office Worker to join our team on our Federal Government contract. THIS SCA POSITION PAYS $16.87/HOUR

The General Office Worker (General Clerk I) is responsible for providing administrative support to those personnel supporting the adjudication process of individuals who have applied for immigration and citizenship benefits.

Essential duties and responsibilities for the position include the following:

  • Supports citizenship and immigration services adjudication functions by providing clerical and administrative support in the processing all applicable forms

  • Provide support for the processing, preparation, and distribution of forms, applications, and certificates used in the adjudication process.

  • Collection of documentation from applicants

  • Support applicants' use of electronic systems

  • Schedules dates and times for investigation interviews and naturalization ceremonies

  • Perform tasks related to preparing for and conducting naturalization ceremonies, including the preparation and distribution of naturalization certificates and the retrieval of documentation from applicants

  • Files copies of documents and notices in appropriate applicant files

  • Answer phones on site and direct calls to the appropriate person(s)

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance (if not already cleared)

  • Must successfully complete a drug screening

  • Must be computer literate, be able to enter data at a reasonable rate, express or exchange ideas by the spoken word

  • Must pass the PAE Core Skills Computer Assessment

  • Strong attention to detail

Minimum Experience, Education and Licensure:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • At least 1 year of prior administrative and/or customer service experience

  • Comprehension of basic computer programs

  • 1 year of experience utilizing Microsoft Office, including Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience working with the public is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to sit or stand for long periods of time, stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects, office equipment, or supplies. Use fingers and hands to type or write; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee must also be able to conduct repetitive body movements, push, reach, stoop and/ or bend and lift up to 45 pounds repetitively at times.

Work Environment:

This position is primarily performed in a traditional office environment but may also include all other work environments as required.

VIEW JOBS 4/5/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-07-04T00:00 Provides general maintenance services at the project site in support of a facility maintenance and services contract. A general working knowledge with the following installed building equipment is preferred: Steam Boiler Plant, HVAC, Sump Pump/Sewer Systems, General Hardware/Door/Window Repair, Lighting, Automated Building System (BAS), Plumbing, Commercial Roofing, Fire Suppression Systems, and Computer Maintenance Management Software (CMMS). The General Maintenance Worker (GMW) will maintain and occasionally operate plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and utility systems. The GMW will maintain a good state of repair of installed building equipment to ensure proper and efficient operations of structural and architectural components, appliance, electrical/plumbing/heating/air conditioning systems and air compressor systems. The GMW will be responsible for maintenance and repair facility structures and associated equipment to ensure no missing components or defects which could impact the safety, habitability, or mission of the facility occupants. The GMW provides emergent and planned general maintenance functions to structures and installed equipment to prevent any electrical, maintenance, plumbing or structural system failures in accordance with design and manufacturer's service life specifications. Specific examples may include: replacement of doors, windows, painting, wood surfaces, wallboards, Drywall repair, and metal surfaces. The GMW will be responsible for Preventative Maintenance (PM's) and completing them in a timely manner. Required Skills Ability to speak, read, and understand English. Requires a basic practical knowledge of several maintenance trades in keeping building woodwork in good repair; replacing electrical switches, lighting, fixtures and motor; occasional painting or touching up of structure or equipment; repairing or replacing plumbing fixtures; replacing broken panes; and HVAC operation and maintenance. Tools required: Hand tools & Power tools Provided by Aleut. Also basic math skills, and ability to work alone, and ability reason and solve problems. Physical Demands: Must be able to lift at least 75 lb is desired. Noise levels are common ones associated with general maintenance and general maintenance tools. Must be physically capable of sitting, standing, climbing, bending and stooping. Must have ability to maintain assigned work hours. Must have sufficient endurance to perform task over long periods of time. Work Environment: Inside an Outside work environment. Will be subject to extremes in temperatures. Required Experience Two (2) years of recent experience within the past 5 years in operating and maintaining building equipment and systems for buildings of the approximate size and characteristic of the building(s) to be operated and maintained. Education: Must possess High School Diploma/GED Current Driver's License Receive and maintain a favorable Local Background Check (LBC) and National Agency Check (NAC) as applicable to the position requirements, current and future.
