General Manager

Wylander is recruiting a General Manager for a full-service disaster restoration company located in Carson, CA.

General Manager Compensation and Benefits:

• $100,000-$110,000/ yr

The General Manager is responsible for directing, planning, and managing overall operations of their specific branches. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: managing the restoration and construction process, managing and hiring impeccable team members, risk management, P&Ls, and the customer experience. The General Manager will take an active role in making sure that the projects are collected with the parameters established during the estimate and approval process. This position is also responsible for assisting in maximizing return on investment, profit and loss, daily operation, planning, development and implementation of compensation and advertising functions.

General Manager Responsibilities:

• Manage general office profitability, implement procedures, hold key personnel accountable
• Responsible for achieving branch sales targets.
• Create, manage and execute plans to increase sales, profitability and customer satisfaction
• Analyze and manage budgets
• Locate and utilize sub-contractors
• Ability to successfully create new business and build client relationships
• Responsible for mentoring, coaching and developing employees, recognizing strengths and weaknesses, and developing their skills and abilities
• Perform exit interviews
• Conduct performance evaluation of all direct reports

General Manager Requirements:

• 5+ years of management experience within the construction industry
• Proven ability to build, motivate and maintain a high performing team
• Proficiency with the Microsoft® Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access) and internet and software Systems
• Organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize a variety of tasks/projects
• Self-motivated, responsible, and accountable. Identifies own learning needs and seeks appropriate steps to continue continual self-development
• Bilingual
• BA/BS required or equivalent experience
