POSITION OVERVIEW:

The General Manager is responsible for leading, managing and directing product portfolio strategies for the growth and profitability of the Windrock business. The role will be directly responsible for the profitable growth, commercial strategy including the global go to market strategies for Windrock technology and M&A activities to fill gaps in the portfolio.

The successful candidate will lead the Sales, Marketing, Engineering and Operations to ensure that the strategy is fully aligned with overall ChampionX goals.

This integral member of the Production & Automation Technologies leadership team will report to the Segment President. This positions will be based in Knoxville, TN.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and lead the Windrock business strategy that aligns with the technology, marketing and commercial capability to achieve growth and innovation.

  • P&L ownership for the Windrock business.

  • Create 3 to 5 year strategic plans for long term growth and operationalize plans through planning, creating budgets and constantly act to improve the commercial and financial and long term performance of the business.

  • Create detailed business proposals on potential commercial opportunities, defining market size, product differentiation, competition assessment, and overall risk assessment.

  • Define and own the portfolio roadmap along with migration/demise pathways.

  • Work closely with Marketing to deliver on marketing launch plans.

  • Work closely with Technology development to understand the customer needs and various technical approaches.

  • Manage day-to-day processes around product life cycle using structured program management techniques and tools.

  • Ensure New Product development and programs meet and exceed business goals and align to the long term Windrock vision.

  • Build on the established technology roadmap to enhance and differentiate our products and Windrock's market presence.

  • Provide leadership to a diverse team consisting of sales, analyst, engineers and operations.

  • Oversee the quality of the Windrock products and services and ensure they are meeting customers' expectations. Delegate ownership of improvement processes.

  • Maintain the highest standards of controls, ensuring that all commercial activity is carried out ethically and in compliance with relevant laws, regulations, standards and industry practices.

  • Oversee all areas of business risk and ensure strategies exist to mitigate these as much as possible.

  • Lead and mentor direct reports, and ensure people strategies are in place that align to the business needs.

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or related field, MBA is preferred

  • 10 years of leadership experience, managing full P&L and building annual business plans.

  • Experienced Leadership with the Asset Monitoring Solution industry is strongly preferred.

  • Proven track record to growing a business with profitable, organic initiatives that leverage a company's core technology, cost and competitive advantages.

  • Excellent broad-based business leader who can collaborate effectively with peers and executive functional and senior business line leaders.

  • A proven history in building and maintaining strong positive relationships with customers and identifying potential business opportunities.

  • Ability to travel up to 30%.
