We are a small, locally owned business with 6 moving trucks, but we are part of a nationally known franchise system!

The General Manager's overall responsibility is to deliver the highest customer service to increase sales, profitability, and the success of the franchise through: overseeing the hiring, training and motivation of franchise employees, overseeing and executing marketing and sales plans, controlling costs, improving profitability, and consistently exceeding customer expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the direction and day-to-day supervision of all management and office staff

  • Drive continual improvement of key areas of the business; establish systems, policies and procedures for these key areas

  • Continuously work to ensure the profitability of moves as well as exceptional customer service

  • Responsible for on-boarding, training/development, and disciplinary action of current and new sales staff

  • Develop strategic sales growth plans to ensure daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly revenue and profit objectives are met

  • Work with the sales staff to develop and execute the franchise sales plan

  • Lead by example in performance, attitude, attendance and work ethic; responsible for team development and motivation

  • Promote safety and uphold safety procedures and policies; ensure compliance with all DOT regulations and FMCSA guidelines

  • Oversee vendor agreements and contract negotiations to ensure strong working relationships and cost reductions where necessary

  • Obtain customer feedback through follow-up calls, both during and after moves; calmly and professionally handle customer concerns

  • Actively participate in community, industry or other relevant associations

  • Continuously communicate with management, customers, drivers, movers and fellow office employees

  • Drive communication upward through monthly reports of all functional areas for executive review

  • Ensure the office is maintained in a clean, organized and professional manner

  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of business, management, or other relevant experience is required; TWO MEN AND A TRUCK and/or moving industry experience is preferred

  • Experience in a leadership or supervisor role required

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills

  • Highly organized and detail oriented; ability to multi-task

  • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills

  • Demonstrated ability to lead by example to motivate, develop, and direct people

  • Ability to assess the performance of self, employees, and franchise to make improvements or take corrective action

  • Commitment to customer service and the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK core values

  • Proficient with the following Microsoft applications: Excel, Word, and Outlook

  • Willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and random drug screens

  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record; must be able to drive company vehicles

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to: * Responsible for pulling orders based on pick ticket to accurately build orders for loading onto delivery trucks * Build orders according to assigned load tickets using industrial power equipment * Manually lift and move product to restock and repack ensuring date code accuracy and proper rotation * Adhere to good warehouse practices and safety standards * Responsible for meeting productivity requirements * Stage completed pallets in designated area * Operate industrial power equipment * Restock and replenish as appropriate * Perform general maintenance * Ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies and procedures * Fill in for other positions as needed * Perform general warehouse duties * Other projects or duties as assigned Position Requirements: Required Skills and Experience: * Minimum of 18 Years of age. * Six months of related experience (i.e. working in a distribution warehouse environment, roofer, farmhand, grocery dock, construction, manipulating patients in a hospital/nursing home or physical therapy environment, or other positions which require continuous heavy lifting which deals with multi-temperature). * Willingness to work flexible hours/shifts including overtime and Saturdays as needed. For Reyes Coca-Cola Bottling (west coast), hours may be 24/7 depending on the facility. * Demonstrated attention to detail. * Must be able to repetitively lift up to 50lbs. * This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test. Preferred Skills and Experience: * High School diploma or GED. * Ability to operate a manual/powered pallet jack to lift product. * Certified Forklift License.
