  • Capacity Planning - Develop manufacturing capacity strategies consistent with planned sales growth, where feasible utilizing lean tactics, available CS capacity. Manage execution of approved strategies.

  • Develop a change driven continuous improvement culture, asset utilization and working capital reduction

  • Develop metrics scorecard to drive the same.

  • Lead continuous improvement processes (including cost management). Continually evaluate manufacturing processes and implement changes to create greater efficiencies while conforming to a high level of customer and quality standards.

  • Interface with key vendors to insure superior supply chain management.

  • Continually monitor, drive improvements and partner in evaluating the Company's ERP system as necessary.

  • Insure adequate systems are in place to provide optimum levels of direct labor staffing and inventory to meet production needs.

  • Insure all shop employees are properly trained and evaluated on a timely basis, and timely corrective action is taken as necessary.

  • Identify, develop and upgrade talent

  • Communicate regularly with shop employees to insure mutual understanding of Company policy and culture, and all matters affecting their performance, attitude, and results.

  • Collaborate with Engineering and Product Management to bring new products from concept, to pilot, to full production and launch.

  • Partner with Sales, Engineering, and the Company's sales rep organization to gain a strong understanding of the needs and wants of the marketplace and where possible incorporate this understanding into the products and production processes.

KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE/ EDUCATION: (Minimum Education and/or Experience required)

  • BS Degree in Business, Operations, Manufacturing or Supply Chain or related field; with five to seven years manufacturing related experience and/or training

  • Understand and adhere to regulatory requirements ( OSHA, safety, environmental, quality)

  • Demonstrated strength in leading and managing others.

  • Demonstrated understanding of end-to-end supply chain (including budget management)

  • Experience in Continuous Improvement environment

  • Demonstrated Change Agent

  • Understand and be able to drive scorecard metrics

  • Effectively communicate with large and diverse populations, influencing cross-functionally across the Company

  • Positive labor relations management and union avoidance experience

  • Solutions Driven

Business Need / Purpose of Role Manages the sales and service capabilities of Weir SPM of assigned region in conjunction with the customers' sales and service needs by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates. Objectives & Measurement - Key Responsibilities Including, but not limited to: * At Weir Oil & Gas, our primary objective is to provide our customers with excellent engineering solutions through our products and superior customer service * Effectively demonstrate the core values of Weir Oil and Gas at all times * Follow all written policies and procedures safely without deviation or refer to upper management for guidance * Exhibit and advocate exemplary safety culture at all times * Demonstrate consistency, accountability, reliability and solid work ethic * Exhibit a high degree of integrity at all times * Manages FSR operations in the branch environment as well as the field environment * Works with Regional Manager to achieve sales volume and growth with FSR services * Implement sales goals and objectives to ensure growth and expansion of FSR services * Deliver planned revenue growth and profit targets * Responsible for maintaining Customer relationship * Travels throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders and forecasts of upcoming business, communicates with customers via phone * Management of FSR P&L with Branch Manager to ensure branch P&L objectives are met * Execute short and long term strategic plans * Responsible for safety stock to meet customer demand * Maintains a comprehensive list of customer information complete with pertinent contact information * Understands market and adjust business needs to support customer demand for continuous market sharegrowth * Coordinates customers' quality complaints with Quality department and ensures timely resolution * Prepares expense reports on a timely basis * Recommends or approves budget, expenditures and appropriations * Responsible for personnel development to produce qualified individuals for key positions * Works with company DOT department to ensure all company policies are being followed along with State and Federal Laws and regulations * Complies with all company SHE field service policies and regulations * Travel requirements 50% * Performs other duties as assigned Job Knowledge / Education and Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Knowledge of oilfield applications for both pump and flow control products, knowledge of product technician specifications are preferred.
