Job Skills / Requirements

Job Title: General Manager of Resort Operations

Shift: 3rd shift

FLSA: Exempt

Under the direction and leadership of the Senior Executive team, the General Manager of Resort Operations has the responsibility for directing custodial operations for the Disney Resort locations to ensure client satisfaction, operational consistencies and efficiencies, workplace safety and account profitability.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Oversight of the day-to-day operations and 3rd shift Disney Resorts staff

  • Overall accountability for key areas including staffing, safety, planning, budgeting, supplies and compliance

  • Serve as department lead for all safety initiatives, programs, and issues in an effort to reduce workplace injuries and general liability exposure

  • Manage relationships among the clients and field managers and ensure that identified goals are addressed in timely manner

  • Support and advance Company's overall strategic direction

  • Hold Site Managers responsible for achieving operational, financial, safety, and workplace goals

  • Responsible for ADP scheduling of hourly employees

  • Daily inspections of public areas, including kitchens, to ensure scope of work is being completed

  • Provide updates to Senior Executive team on account related statistics

  • Work with the HR & Recruiting teams to ensure adequate staffing levels, payroll practices, and employee training are in place for each Resort location

  • Provide input and implement planning around employee retention efforts

  • Follow the Company's accounting and finance procedures

  • Manage client relations and expectations

  • Manage adequacy of on-hand supplies

  • Other duties as assigned

Job Abilities & Skills:

  • Maintains a professional demeanor when interacting with other departments

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, including proficiency in written and verbal communications

  • Attention to detail and organization

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment

  • Past experience in commercial kitchen cleaning

  • Knowledge of health and safety codes related to Florida food and beverage regulations

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
