Our Appleton Manufacturing site comprises of 240 dedicated team members in a state of the art, clean, temperature controlled facility and we are looking for an experienced General Manager with a passion for customer service excellence to join our growing team!
As the General Manager for our Appleton Manufacturing site, you will be responsible for providing focused leadership to the Manufacturing Operations within a site. In this role, you will lead staff members of the site and interact with managers of other sites and customer teams to drive execution. To do this, you will maximize the potential of the human capital at the site and continuously create the systems, processes and environment that deliver operational excellence as well as inspire people to give their best. As the General Manager you will also lead the team in driving adoption of operational excellence models and approaches.

CULTURE: Ensure the strategy, processes and measures are in place to continuously move towards a culture where continuously increasing employee engagement at the site is evident. Leader are equipped with skills to support their teams to be able to adapt to and engage in continuous change.
CUSTOMER SERVICE: Ensure the processes, organizational capability and culture combine to consistently meet agreed commitments to customers. Strong links to our customer service organization enable win/win customer solutions as well as effective shared responsibility for managing the challenges of the complex manufacturing space we operate in.
OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE: Processes, organizational capability and culture combine to consistently achieve Plexus Standard of Operational Excellence (PSOE) targets. A well-functioning system of management supports transparency of progress to PSOE goals.
PERFORMANCE: Ensure transparency and accuracy of financial and other performance data to drive sound and timely decision making within the context of the regional and site strategies.
TEAM DEVELOPMENT: Build strong leadership, functional and operational teams that are well integrated with regional and corporate resources to achieve aligned site, regional and global manufacturing solution goals.
Accountable to execute on Plexus' Best People strategy, leaders will focus on evaluating potential, driving succession planning and ensuring that their employees receive the development and coaching required to realize their full potential.
Additional Accountabilities:
Maintain a current succession plan. The plan should include personal development and career management for individuals to fill key roles within the site.
Establish measureable goals, objectives and metrics for the management staff and site. Set direction and ensure accountability for performance to these metrics as well as site-specific projects and continuous improvement activities.
Provide input to Plexus Engineering Solutions and Plexus Corporate Manufacturing Solutions Technology teams regarding current and future equipment and process solutions.
Minimal travel may be required to meet the needs of the business (estimated 15%).

Here's what we are looking for:
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
Ten years of related experience is required.
A highly skilled manager with well-rounded experience or lean knowledge in manufacturing environment is preferred.
P&L experience as a Plant Manager or above level with management responsibility for manufacturing processes of high technology products and services in an electronics-manufacturing environment is beneficial.
Previous experience working in a matrix organization is highly desirable.
